 Sunday the 25th:   First thing in the morning, I started making the soup for the SOUP AND SANDWICH lunch CONNECT event after church.  The crockpot was a pretty heavy so I decided I needed a box to put it in.  I emptied out one of those plastic milk cartons that were popular years ago, and lined it with towels, etc. and this worked well.  This made it easier to get out to the car.  Peg had suggested that I pull up to the church doors and stop and ask one of the men who greet people at the door to take it down to the kitchen.  I did that and one of the men said his daughter would do it.  I never got her name, but she was really sweet and helpful.  After I found a parking spot, I went down to the kitchen and took the crockpot out of the crate and plugged it in.  The service was very good.  When it was a over, I went down to the kitchen and helped Jan put tablecloths on.  There was a smaller group of people at this gathering ...
