SUNDAY: As I was getting ready for church this morning, Stephanie McAdams called to tell me that her mother (my friend Judy) passed away. She had been taken from the nursing home in Stamford to a hospital a couple of days ago. They thought it was a severe UTI, but then kidney stones were diagnosed. They were getting her ready for surgery when she "coded". I think Judy was 78, a year older than me. She had been in a nursing home for several years. She had MS and then a heart attack. Personally, I am kind of relieved that she is no longer suffering. Stephanie said he will have a service in the spring. I told her I will try to get to it. I sent her a check for a hundred dollars for her to use for Judy's final expenses. Church was very good this morning. Then several of us (me, Glenda, Carol, Vicki, Linda S., Andrea and Marlene) went to LaPorts for lunch. I had the grilled chicken dinner, which is HUGE...
