 Sunday, June 28th:   I skipped church this morning.  I just had too much to do.  I met up with the other eleven ladies at the gazebo behind Freedom Church a few minutes before eleven a.m. We went to Cusimano's for lunch.  I had an American sub with potato chips and a Dr. Pepper.  Then we all left for Buffalo (in three cars) to go the play A FEW GOOD MEN, which Cindi's daughter, Renee   was starring in.  She had the only female role, the role Demi Moore played in the movie.  It was excellent. When we got back to Lockport,  I went to Reids and picked up supper before I t went home.  After I ate, I called Leslie to confirm that I will arrive at her place tomorrow and we will leave Tuesday morning for Saranac Lake.  I worked on packing in the evening.  It is so tedious.  I could not find the movie A FEW GOOD MEN anywhere on my ROKU TV.   MONDAY June 29th:    Time to leave for Auburn.   1 (12-ounce) whole block canned corned beef, unbroken 1 1/2 pounds potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1-inch chunks 1 medium onion, sliced or chopped 1 cup low-sodium beef broth or water Directions Place the whole block of canned corned beef into the bottom of a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker, keeping it in one solid piece. It should look just like it came out of the can, sitting as a single block in the center of the crock. Scatter the potato chunks evenly around the corned beef, filling in the spaces along the sides. Add the sliced or chopped onion over the potatoes and around the meat. Pour the beef broth (or water) gently around the edges of the corned beef, over the potatoes and onions, trying not to break up the meat block. You want the liquid mostly around the vegetables so they cook up tender and flavorful. Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until the potatoes are very tender and the onions are soft. The corned beef w...

 SUNDAY:  I feel somewhat better this morning and am going to church.  I don't think I would be feeling this good without the medicine, though.  Church was very good, and then seven of us went to THE OLIVE LEAF.  Me, Lori, Marlene, Glenda, Carol, Vicki, Louise.  While I was there, I retrieved a text from Andrea asking if I wanted to go to Olcott after church.  I texted her that I would be OK with going later on, around six p.m.  and after a while, she agreed.  However, we left around five fifteen.  I had put together some geocaching information, so we stopped at the Van Horn mansion to look for what should have been easy, but we did not find it.  We spent some time at Olcott Beach, but the shops and beach were closed. 2 cups Bisquick (reduced fat is fine, too) 1 ⁄ 3 cup sugar 2 ⁄ 3 cup milk 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 egg 3 ⁄ 4 cup organic frozen blueberries (smaller, juicier Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease muffin pan well. Stir all ingredients except blueberries in medium bowl, just until moistened. Fold in berries. Divide batter evenly in 9 muffin cups. Bake 13 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly and remove from pan to wire rack. Yield: 9 muffins.

SUNDAY the 14th  (Flag Day)   In the morning, Megan and I went over to have a short visit with Carrie.  It went well.  Then we returned to my place.  Megan had been trying to make plans with her cousin Ben (my nephew, my sisters oldest son) to get together.  They didn't arrive until shortly before one p.m. The four of us sat and visited for a while and then someone suggested going out for lunch.  I told them that I wanted "you young people" to have some time together and I stayed home.  They didn't argue with me about that.  They went to THE BIG DITCH.  SUNDAY:   Church was not too terribly crowded this morning.  After it was over, a few of us went to SUNNY'S for lunch.  Glenda, Vicky, Peggy and Becky and Chuck (I have forgotten their last name), who sit behind Glenda in church. Vicky and I each had a slice of pizza which was mediocre at best.  The sandwiches that Peggy, Chuck and Becky had looked good, and I will try one of them the next time. Glenda had the chicken fingers which she said were good.  She wanted to go to JoJo's for ice cream after lunch so Vicky and I joined her.  I had a hot fudge sundae with dairy free cherry ice cream, and it was very good.
