YMCA!!!!!

I went to the Y yesterday, and I took Betty as my guest.  We walked the track for a while.  Last night Betty called me to tell me that she got her information from Univera (her new Medicare Advantage Plan) so she can get her own membership!  

Today, I picked Elaine up and we went to the Y to walk the track.  We met up with her pool guy  (Dennis) and he showed us some of the machines that he uses.

I met with one of the trainers (Dominick) and he did an assessment on me, which is the first step in the process...…………...he showed me how to use one of the machines (but I forget which one).  We set.  We set 12:30 this coming Monday for me to have my first of four sessions.  I can't recall what they are called.   Then I joined Elaine who was pumping away on a machine that is kind of like a stationary bike (but different).  We both watched part of AMERICAN PICKERS while we exercised.

Then we went to Wendy's for lunch.

 This was what I saw out the window when I got up. The RUBY PRINCESS had stopped and we were in Skagway!  We had breakfast at the Botticelli (I had a soft boiled egg, toast, oatmeal and a banana) and then we returned to our room to get ready for getting off the ship and going to Skagway.  We got tickets for Shuttle #10 and went down to wait to be called.  Things moved along fairly quickly. The shuttle boat was one of the lifeboats, it took us to the mainland.  This is a view of the RUBY PRINCESS from the port.   When we arrived we took a shuttle to the downtown area where we walked around a bit. The downtown area has a lot of interesting shops, etc. but we did not have time to go in many of them.  Here are a few pictures:    We found a geocaches in the library (hooray). Sunday, February 13th, 2022

 Church was very good this morning.  After church, Betty, Jan, Maggie and I met up at Laport's for lunch.  I had the turkey dinner.  It was way too much food to eat in one sitting, so I brought most of it home with me.  Their turkey dinner on Sunday when it is one of their specials is a real good deal: only twelve dollars after the senior discount is used.  Our server automatically gave it to all four of us.  I suggested to Betty, Jan and Maggie that we do this every Sunday after church, going to a different restaurant every Sunday.   The 2022 Ladies Retreat was announced in the bulletin this morning.  Unfortunately for me, it starts the day after I plan to return to Lockport after my week in Allegany State Park with Leslie.  EVEN SO, I plan to go.  I could leave ASP one day early.  I will have to think about this more.  I think I will decide to leave ASP one day early so that I can have one full day and part of anoth...

Friday, March 18th, 2022 and Saturday, March 19th

FRIDAY: First thing today, I met with Kevin Kopek at NorthWest Bank, and I signed some papers in order to move some money from my American National Account to the Symmetra account that I inherited from Mary Anne. This is the money from the sale of the house I owned in West Laurens, after I paid cash for my Subaru,  It was around thirty thousand dollars at the time,  Kevin said it was yielding one percent and will do better in Symettra.  I went to the library after that and picked up two books they were holding for me.  Then I went home for a bit before going to Dr. Fetterman for an eye check.   Since my last visit there two weeks ago, the mandate for wearing masks has been eliminated!!!!  He checked my right eye with regards to the laser surgery he did last week.  I scheduled for the left eye for next Friday.  Then I went home for a bit.  Betty picked me up at noon and we had lunch at Burger King and then she dropped me off at BASIL TOYO...
