New Years Eve 2018 and New Years Day 2019

Yesterday (New Years Eve Day) I went to the Y in the morning and worked out before SILVER SNEAKERS SPLASH.  I had tentative plans to go to Buffalo with Peggy to see Jim McDonnel but she decided not to go since Dee did not seem to want any visitors.  In the evening, I went to David and Peg's place for a feast of ribeye steak, crab cakes, shrimp and lobster!   I took rice pilaf and rolls but we did not need my rolls since David made crescent rolls.  It was a great meal!!!!  On the way home, I picked up pictures from WalGreens that I had ordered for MaryAnne.

Today I stayed in bed late, watching GOD KNOWS WHERE I LIVE (a documentary) which is the true story of Linda Bishop a mentally ill homeless woman who holed up in this house in New Hampshire and eventually died of starvation.
and then prepared  big breakfast.  Betty called and asked if I wanted to go shopping in Buffalo with her, and I said no.   I worked on a few paperwork tasks and on putting away Christmas decorations. I called Leslie and wished her a Happy New Year and we talked for a while.

 I ordered the rest of the pictures for MaryAnne, since apparently I skipped three days pictures the first time I ordered.  I called MaryAnne hoping to meet her for supper and give her the pictures, but she said she was pretty much ready to leave for Gordy Harpers for supper.  I agreed to meet here there with all of the photos.  

I had the fish fry and it was very good.  

MaryAnne called later on to tell me how much she was enjoying looking at our trip pictures!

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helpers.  They put napkins and plasticware at

Week of Sunday 9/10 through Saturday 9/16, 2023

 SUNDAY the 10th:  I went to church, which was very good.  The topic was: and then out to lunch with Lori and Marlene, at Kalamata's.  I had the turkey dinner.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I talked with Mary and Peggy on the phone.  I did a bit of cleaning and straightening because tomorrow morning, Peggy and Betty are coming over to watch a Jack Hibbs video.   MONDAY:  September 11th, 2023, Betty, Peg and I met up at my house and watched the first of three videos of Jack Hibbs. speaking about DAZE OF DECEPTION.  It is excellent and we decided to meet again on Wednesday to watch part 2.   Then I went to the Y for the class for seniors called ENHANCE FITNESS.  We were all evaluated as to our speed doing certain activities.  Before leaving, I asked both Jan and Elaine if they wanted to go to LKPT ENERGY HOUSE for a shake.  They agreed, so we met up there.  While we were relaxing and drinking our shakes Captain Kendra D'Itillio of the Lockport Police came in and we chatt

Week Starting Sunday February 25th, 2024

 SUNDAY:  I started feeling kind of shaky and week during worship at church this morning.  So, I had to tell Marlene that I needed to go home after church instead of going to North Tonawanda with her.  Our plans had been to go to Joey's Place for lunch and then to the Riviera Theatre for the free organ concert by Camden Church.  I stopped at Mark's and got a slice of pizza to take home for my lunch.  It was not very good; I am sure it was left over from yesterday.  I found an episode of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES on Hoopla and watched most of one episode until I started dozing off on the couch.  I spent the rest of the day resting at home, but I started working on planning for Thursday mornings FREEDOM GROUP, which I will be facilitating.   MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment and then went to the Y where I walked 15 minutes and then used the recumbent bike for five minutes.
