Y, Wendy's, Kenan Center, and BINGO

I had a pretty busy day.  I arrived at the Y a little early for AQUA STRETCH, so I went up and walked a few laps around the track before getting ready to go to the pool.  I still arrived early and exercised on my own in the lap pool for ten or twelve minutes before going over to the family pool.   Both Betty and Elaine arrived as it was starting up.  After AS, I went over to the deep end of the lap pool for AQUA JOG.  I only lasted about 22 minutes (out of 30) because I needed to go to the bathroom.  After my shower, I met up with Betty and we walked a it, and I used a few of the machines.  The back stretch machine is out of order.    Betty and I met up at Wendy's for lunch.

Then we went to the KENAN CENTER where we met up with Pam.  Cindi L. had arranged this get together, but she had an emergency situation and had to go to the eye doctor so she did not make it.  The STORR'S RETROSPECTIVE
was very good. The Kenan Mansion is especially beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the woodwork, chandeliers, etc.  

I went home and took a nap and then I picked Betty up and we went to THE DALE to meet up with Sarah for BINGO.    I purchased fewer cards than I did the last time I went.  Betty won $50 very early in the evening.   It was fun.

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helpers.  They put napkins and plasticware at

Week of Sunday 9/10 through Saturday 9/16, 2023

 SUNDAY the 10th:  I went to church, which was very good.  The topic was: and then out to lunch with Lori and Marlene, at Kalamata's.  I had the turkey dinner.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I talked with Mary and Peggy on the phone.  I did a bit of cleaning and straightening because tomorrow morning, Peggy and Betty are coming over to watch a Jack Hibbs video.   MONDAY:  September 11th, 2023, Betty, Peg and I met up at my house and watched the first of three videos of Jack Hibbs. speaking about DAZE OF DECEPTION.  It is excellent and we decided to meet again on Wednesday to watch part 2.   Then I went to the Y for the class for seniors called ENHANCE FITNESS.  We were all evaluated as to our speed doing certain activities.  Before leaving, I asked both Jan and Elaine if they wanted to go to LKPT ENERGY HOUSE for a shake.  They agreed, so we met up there.  While we were relaxing and drinking our shakes Captain Kendra D'Itillio of the Lockport Police came in and we chatt

Week Starting Sunday February 25th, 2024

 SUNDAY:  I started feeling kind of shaky and week during worship at church this morning.  So, I had to tell Marlene that I needed to go home after church instead of going to North Tonawanda with her.  Our plans had been to go to Joey's Place for lunch and then to the Riviera Theatre for the free organ concert by Camden Church.  I stopped at Mark's and got a slice of pizza to take home for my lunch.  It was not very good; I am sure it was left over from yesterday.  I found an episode of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES on Hoopla and watched most of one episode until I started dozing off on the couch.  I spent the rest of the day resting at home, but I started working on planning for Thursday mornings FREEDOM GROUP, which I will be facilitating.   MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment and then went to the Y where I walked 15 minutes and then used the recumbent bike for five minutes.
