ROCHESTER LILAC FESTIVAL: May 15, 2019
A week or so ago, Pam suggested to Betty and I that the three of us might go to the Lilac Festival in Rochester. The weather has not been very nice and Betty had not been feeling all that well, so I didn't think we would get to go. But Monday, Betty said that she would drive. I called Pam and we made plans.
We headed out 31 and stopped at AAA and got exact driving directions to one of the parking lots for the event. We stopped at a McDonalds somewhere near Medina to use the restroom. We did not have any problems getting to the area of Highland Park in Rochester. There was a shuttle available in the parking lot, and we waited for it. It dropped us off in front of the vendor area.
and finally reached the lilacs. We were disappointed that they were not yet in full bloom but they were gorgeous anyways and had a heavenly aroma
and also a pansy garden.

Although we took a shuttle to the park, there were not any shuttles available to return us to the parking lot. We walked down Azalea Street which had many nice homes with gardens in the front.
We made it back to Betty's car easily mostly because we could see this abandoned building right next to the parking lot.
