This morning I continued working on looking through discs that have old pictures on them, some are mine and some are Peggy's.  I added some pictures from a past trip to Connecticut (2009) when Peg and I visited my high school friend Jane.  She took us to OLD NEWGATE PRISON, and after we left her house, Peg and I found an abandoned theme park HOLYLAND USA and explored.

I  all of a sudden realized that it is gorgeous outside and decided to find someone to take a walk with.  I couldn't reach Mary Watt, but I did reach Janet Ford and we agreed to meet at Day Road Park.  Just before I left the house, the phone rang and it was Leslie.  After I left the house, my neighbor Dick Whalen, wanted to chat.  So I was a few minutes late in meeting up with Janet.   She parked at one end of the long narrow parking lot and I was looking for her at the other end, but we finally found each other and had a nice walk.  I took these two pictures.
 This weeks theme on PROJECT 366 on facebook is "sky" so I will share this one there.
I rested in the afternoon.   I fixed myself a REAL supper tonight, which is somewhat of a rarity.  I had am AMISH smoked pork chop with baked apple topping, sweet potato, broccoli, and a roll with butter. 

I tried Leslie's puzzle cache, but I felt like I was going around in circles.

Betty called to tell me that she was approved for SNAP benefits, the smallest amount monthly which is what I get.    Mary Anne called and we talked briefly and Peggy also called.

 This was what I saw out the window when I got up. The RUBY PRINCESS had stopped and we were in Skagway!  We had breakfast at the Botticelli (I had a soft boiled egg, toast, oatmeal and a banana) and then we returned to our room to get ready for getting off the ship and going to Skagway.  We got tickets for Shuttle #10 and went down to wait to be called.  Things moved along fairly quickly. The shuttle boat was one of the lifeboats, it took us to the mainland.  This is a view of the RUBY PRINCESS from the port.   When we arrived we took a shuttle to the downtown area where we walked around a bit. The downtown area has a lot of interesting shops, etc. but we did not have time to go in many of them.  Here are a few pictures:    We found a geocaches in the library (hooray). EAGLE WATCH at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge and more: 2/1/2020

Betty and I went to the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge for the EAGLE WATCH, which was part of the IO Palooza event today.  She picked me up and we drove to the Visitors Center on Casey Road.  There were several things going on in this building, and they were offering pieces of cake. The event was a celebration of the  20th year of Iroquois Observations.   We had cake, walked around a bit and went into the gift shop.  We got directions to the location of the Eagle Watch from a worker and then headed to the Cayuga Overlook. They had scopes set up for visitors to see the eagle and the nest.   I took this picture through the scope. We wanted to hike a bit so we got directions from the ranger how to get to a certain trail, but we could not find the road to it.   We headed to the Tonawanda Indian Reservation so we could have lunch at Jan's Sah-Da-Ko-Nee Restaurant.  We entered the reservation via Bloomingdale Road, the road the re...

October 20,2020

 I slept pretty good last night.  I don't remember getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom!  For sure I did not get more than five or six hours, but at least I got that much.  I finished up putting together my Christmas box in order to take it to Freedom Church this morning.   I went to the Ladies Life Group.  I think there were nine or ten of us there this morning and it was a very good meeting.  At the end, several of the group decided to go to Wendy's for lunch but I decided not to go.  I went to WalMart and picked up a few items and had lunch at home. I talked to Connie on the phone for a while regarding her appointing me as her agent (Health Care Proxy, Power of Attorney and Executrix of her Estate).  She has all of this set up with someone else, but she changed her mind about that person.    After my nap I went to SOLID ROCK to pick up a spaghetti dinner.  After I ate, I went out for a walk and also...
