I slept very well last night. .   Right after I got up, Roswell called me because they had not been able to reach Mary Anne.  I needed to pass some info. on to her about a prescription they had called in to Rite Aide, which has to do with the scan she will get tomorrow.    When she finally answered her phone, she already had the information.  We talked for a bit.  I also talked to Paula (the friend who provides transportation) and she gave me the sad news that Mary Anne has grown very weak and had to use a wheelchair in Roswell on Tuesday and because she was so weak, chemo was cancelled.

Peggy called and told me that Lydia Santiago is in a psych ward in Niagara Falls.  Apparently, she felt like she was going to have a nervous breakdown.  Vicky spoke to her on the phone.

While I puttered around, finishing up putting my travel items away, the phone kept ringing.  I also had to make a couple of phone calls.

I finished up putting together the gift bags for the seniors of  FREEDOM CHURCH.

I participated in the seven p.m. PRAYER MEETING on zoom.  It was a small group.  It went very well.

 This was what I saw out the window when I got up. The RUBY PRINCESS had stopped and we were in Skagway!  We had breakfast at the Botticelli (I had a soft boiled egg, toast, oatmeal and a banana) and then we returned to our room to get ready for getting off the ship and going to Skagway.  We got tickets for Shuttle #10 and went down to wait to be called.  Things moved along fairly quickly. The shuttle boat was one of the lifeboats, it took us to the mainland.  This is a view of the RUBY PRINCESS from the port.   When we arrived we took a shuttle to the downtown area where we walked around a bit. The downtown area has a lot of interesting shops, etc. but we did not have time to go in many of them.  Here are a few pictures:    We found a geocaches in the library (hooray). EAGLE WATCH at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge and more: 2/1/2020

Betty and I went to the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge for the EAGLE WATCH, which was part of the IO Palooza event today.  She picked me up and we drove to the Visitors Center on Casey Road.  There were several things going on in this building, and they were offering pieces of cake. The event was a celebration of the  20th year of Iroquois Observations.   We had cake, walked around a bit and went into the gift shop.  We got directions to the location of the Eagle Watch from a worker and then headed to the Cayuga Overlook. They had scopes set up for visitors to see the eagle and the nest.   I took this picture through the scope. We wanted to hike a bit so we got directions from the ranger how to get to a certain trail, but we could not find the road to it.   We headed to the Tonawanda Indian Reservation so we could have lunch at Jan's Sah-Da-Ko-Nee Restaurant.  We entered the reservation via Bloomingdale Road, the road the re...

October 20,2020

 I slept pretty good last night.  I don't remember getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom!  For sure I did not get more than five or six hours, but at least I got that much.  I finished up putting together my Christmas box in order to take it to Freedom Church this morning.   I went to the Ladies Life Group.  I think there were nine or ten of us there this morning and it was a very good meeting.  At the end, several of the group decided to go to Wendy's for lunch but I decided not to go.  I went to WalMart and picked up a few items and had lunch at home. I talked to Connie on the phone for a while regarding her appointing me as her agent (Health Care Proxy, Power of Attorney and Executrix of her Estate).  She has all of this set up with someone else, but she changed her mind about that person.    After my nap I went to SOLID ROCK to pick up a spaghetti dinner.  After I ate, I went out for a walk and also...
