In the morning, I spoke with Marianne Koenig and we decided to accept the offer of sixty two thousand dollars for the cottage. She agreed to call him and get the ball rolling.
I met up with Betty at the cottage at 11:30 a.m. and we got to work. One of the neighbors, Cindy Horner, stopped by and introduced herself. I took her name and number in case the first deal does not go through since she is interested in purchasing it. She came in and pointed out that Mary Anne did a lot of improving of the place since the last time she saw it which was before Mary Anne bought it.
Betty and I worked for an hour and a half and declared the job FINISHED. All of the Christmas items are in one spot. I can't really say that it looks homey, since there is just too much stuff, it look more like a gift shop! And while the place is straightened up and floors are swept and vacuumed, the kitchen floor and the whole bathroom needs a thorough scrubbing.
We drove to Miller's (on 104 in Medina) in order to shop and have lunch. As we arrived, it started to rain. We each purchased lunch and ate it there. I had a ham and cheese sandwich with raspberry lemonade. Betty had a turkey sandwich, Doritos and dark chocolate and Pepsi. I could not finish my sandwich. I purchased mostly snack items, but I also got two large jars of bread and butter pickles and a yellow squash and some onion relish.
When I got home, there were phone messages from the potential buyer. I called him back later and we agreed to meet up at the cottage tomorrow morning at ten thirty a.m. so they can see the inside again. He said that a fellow stopped by the cottage while he was there and was talking about all the problems with the cottage.
In the evening (after my nap), I chatted with Bianca on facebook and watched parts of the Republican Convention. I had the rest of my sandwich from Millers and a small bowl of the carrots I cooked yesterday for my supper.
