Tuesday, May 4th

 I got a call from Kevin K. at Northwest Bank at nine a.m. asking if I could come in and sign one more paper regarding my new SYMMETRA account.  I agreed to be at the bank at 9:45.   After that, I went to FREEDOM CHURCH for the Ladies Life Group.   Their were nine of us there and it went well.  Then five of us went out to lunch at THE OLIVE LEAF.

During lunch I asked Elaine if we might be able to start up some fun things to do together on Tuesdays after Life Group.  We had started doing that a few years ago, but it never really stuck.  Elaine was very enthused about this idea.  

When I got home, there was a call from the estate lawyer asking me to come in to the office and sign some forms regarding the Principal account at Key Bank.  I called and agreed to go in tomorrow morning. I tried to reach Christa by phone since I know she took today off as a "mental health day".  She did not answer, so I left a message.  She private messaged me on FB a couple of hours later saying that the purpose of her taking a mental health day is so she does not have to interact with anyone.  

A huge package came from Megan.  She sent me two items from her recent online party.  A stoneware baking pan and an individual brownie pan.  


I called Yolanda in the evening.  She is feeling much better than she was several days ago, finally having enough energy to do laundry and clean her kitchen.  Both Connie and Myrna called, also.   Both are doing well.  Peggy also called and said she was able to work almost a full day today before she started feeling very tired.

 Before going into the City of Niagara Falls, New York for my second COVID vaccination, I went to the Fashion Outlet Mall on Military Road to go to OLD NAVY.  I had a coupon for twenty dollars off of a purchase totaling fifty dollars or more.   I was hoping to find some spring short sleeved tops.  What I did find was a pair of "khaki's" for fifteen dollars and then I picked out a t-shirt that can be worn with those pants.  I was able to redeem my coupon and get the outfit for $15.00.   I don't really like the khaki pants but they fit snugly, are lightweight and will be good to wear for hiking, so that I will be able to see any ticks that land on me.    Then I headed to the Conference Center in the falls.  I parked in the same place and since I was early and needed to use a rest room, I went over to the Culinary Institute where I knew there was a clean ladies room.   My plans were to go to the Barnes and Noble and to the ba...

New Year's Day 2022 at Home

 I put a pork roast, carrots, sweet potatoes and onions in the crockpot and covered most of that with orange juice.  I thought about calling Marlene to ask her if she would like to come over for supper, but I decided not to, since I want to do several things around the house, including putting Christmas decorations away and if she were to come, I would want to make desert and muffins, etc., which would take me away from the tasks I want to work on.  I completely stripped my bed all the way down to the mattress cover and started laundry.  I tried on all the clothing items I bought yesterday to make sure they fit well, and in case I might want to return some of them.  They all fit well and I will keep all of them, so I started washing them.   I continued watching THE SPANISH PRINCESS.  I talked with Peggy on the phone, and Lisa Pichey called and I spoke with her for a while.  She had her foot surgery two weeks ago and is recuperating at home.
