Monday, June 13th, 2022 and Tuesday, June 14th

 MONDAY:This morning I dropped three watches off to my cousin George Boes so that he could put new batteries in them.  Then I had an appointment with the PA at my gynecologist's office.  Then I went to BASIL TOYOTA to have a small "recall" taken care of.  It took about an hour, so I was glad I had the latest issue of  NEWSMAX with me.  At some point I went to WalMart and purchased a couple of items.  I also  picked up a prescription at Rite Aid and picked up a small sub at SUBWAY.  I napped a bit in the afternoon.  I sewed a MONTEZUMA NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE patch on my outdoors vest. I talked with Peg on the phone.  She left work early today and is not feeling top notch.  We tentatively agreed to get together at either her house or my house on Wednesday evening, along with Cassandra and Quinn.  David will pick up chicken wings and rolls and roast beef for beef on weck.   I need to pick up some horseradish or horseradish sauce and I will get lemonade.  

I put ROUND UP on some of the weeds in my flowerbeds.  I accidentally sprayed one of my small flower plants.  I tried to reach Pam to see if she wanted to take a walk, but she did not answer.  I left a message but she did not call back.  I decided to putter around and straighten my apartment up and empty the suitcase I had packed for the retreat that I did not go to.  


TUESDAY:  The guy from MULLENS APPLIANCE REPAIR (Sam) came this morning and checked out my washing machine.  It seems that it will cost around six hundred dollars, so I will probably get a new one.  I will have to discuss it with David and Peggy.  It was 10:45 when I arrived at the church for the Tuesday morning Ladies Life Group.  They were meeting out behind the church in the pavilion.  I arrived just as they were finishing up prayer and praise and starting in on the study.  GOOD TIMING!!!

After the meeting was over, twelve of us went to WENDY'S.  Wendy's has been totally remodeled inside and they got rid of the round tables in the back that we used to sit at.   They have a new tall table with eight chairs around it, so we used that and an adjoining shorter table.  I had the five dollar bag. a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, fries and a drink.  

Then I went to TOPS and made some purchases for tomorrow night's supper when David and Peggy, Cassy and Quinn will be here. Weck rolls, potato chips, pickles, strawberries, and whipped cream.  And I also went to Rite Aid and picked up my Viberzi.

When I got home, I washed the strawberries, and then I rested.  I tried to nap, but I couldn't.  When I got up I got the berries ready for shortcake and baked the shortcake (using gluten free Bisquick).  Then I found the documentary MISHA AND THE WOLVES on Netflix.

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helpers.  They put napkins and plasticware at

Week Starting Sunday February 25th, 2024

 SUNDAY:  I started feeling kind of shaky and week during worship at church this morning.  So, I had to tell Marlene that I needed to go home after church instead of going to North Tonawanda with her.  Our plans had been to go to Joey's Place for lunch and then to the Riviera Theatre for the free organ concert by Camden Church.  I stopped at Mark's and got a slice of pizza to take home for my lunch.  It was not very good; I am sure it was left over from yesterday.  I found an episode of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES on Hoopla and watched most of one episode until I started dozing off on the couch.  I spent the rest of the day resting at home, but I started working on planning for Thursday mornings FREEDOM GROUP, which I will be facilitating.   MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment and then went to the Y where I walked 15 minutes and then used the recumbent bike for five minutes.  SUNDAY:  I decided to go to TOPS before going to church, hoping to get some IRISH SODA BREAD.  They had it (right inside the front door) so I got it, and a couple of other items. Church was excellent, the sermon was about HELL!!!   After church I took my groceries home and put the garbage out and changed into jeans before meeting up with Glenda, Elaine and Betty at LaPorts.  They all had corned beef and cabbage, but I had the turkey dinner.  I brought most of it home.  Pam called and wanted me to go to a musical event at a church, but I really wanted to spend the rest of the day at home.  I had a nap.  I scanned some of Peggy's NURSING HOME MINISTRY at Mt. View into her flickr account.  I found a movie: I ACCUSED, based on a true story.     MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment this morning.  I did some jobs around the house until it was time to go to the Y for my class.  It went very well.  I stopped at THE DOLLAR TREE to get some cookie mixes.  I spent the rest of the day
