Sunday, August 28th, 2022 Birthday Cake with Myrna and Monday the 29th




 I went to Niagara Produce before church and purchased a small carrot cake and some Carson's cookies (assorted).   After church, Peggy, Pam, Cindi, Betty and I met up at Myrna's apartment to share "birthday cake" with Myrna and her granddaughter, Lissa.  This is a picture of the cheesecake.  But we also had chocolate cake, carrot cake and cookies.








We all had a good visit.   I think Myrna appreciated it.  

After that, Cindi and I went to the REVITALIZATION MEETING for the Official Union Station Restoration Group at the Niagara County Golf Course on Davison Road.   


It was not at all organized and turnout was poor.  

I tried to get pictures of everyone who was there without being intrusive, but I did not do a good job.  

MONDAY the 29th
I had a chiropractic appointment and a dermatological appointment this morning.  Both went well.  I spent the rest of the day at home, working on a few things.  I talked with Peg on the phone, also with Betty and also with Lori Rivers.  I asked Lori if she wants to meet up with me in Allegany State Park the weekend of Friday, October 14th through Monday the 17th.  She seems excited about this idea and has a friend who she thinks might also want to go.  She will get back to me.  

I called Cassandra and wished her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  She turned 22 today.  She and Quinn are staying at a cottage on Lake Michigan, loaned to them by one of their clients.

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helpers.  They put napkins and plasticware at

Week of Sunday 9/10 through Saturday 9/16, 2023

 SUNDAY the 10th:  I went to church, which was very good.  The topic was: and then out to lunch with Lori and Marlene, at Kalamata's.  I had the turkey dinner.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I talked with Mary and Peggy on the phone.  I did a bit of cleaning and straightening because tomorrow morning, Peggy and Betty are coming over to watch a Jack Hibbs video.   MONDAY:  September 11th, 2023, Betty, Peg and I met up at my house and watched the first of three videos of Jack Hibbs. speaking about DAZE OF DECEPTION.  It is excellent and we decided to meet again on Wednesday to watch part 2.   Then I went to the Y for the class for seniors called ENHANCE FITNESS.  We were all evaluated as to our speed doing certain activities.  Before leaving, I asked both Jan and Elaine if they wanted to go to LKPT ENERGY HOUSE for a shake.  They agreed, so we met up there.  While we were relaxing and drinking our shakes Captain Kendra D'Itillio of the Lockport Police came in and we chatt

Week Starting Sunday February 25th, 2024

 SUNDAY:  I started feeling kind of shaky and week during worship at church this morning.  So, I had to tell Marlene that I needed to go home after church instead of going to North Tonawanda with her.  Our plans had been to go to Joey's Place for lunch and then to the Riviera Theatre for the free organ concert by Camden Church.  I stopped at Mark's and got a slice of pizza to take home for my lunch.  It was not very good; I am sure it was left over from yesterday.  I found an episode of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES on Hoopla and watched most of one episode until I started dozing off on the couch.  I spent the rest of the day resting at home, but I started working on planning for Thursday mornings FREEDOM GROUP, which I will be facilitating.   MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment and then went to the Y where I walked 15 minutes and then used the recumbent bike for five minutes.
