Sunday October 30th, 2022 and Monday Oct. 31st and Tuesday November 1

SUNDAY: Glenda called me this morning to tell me she would not be in church this morning.  Yesterday, her sixty-year-old nephew died suddenly.  His mother (Glenda's sister) has been hospitalized for over a month with heart problems and she has not been told yet.  They will tell her later on today.  Glenda said she is too distracted with these issues and figures she could not concentrate in church.  Craig gave a great message!



After church I used a SUBWAY coupon to purchase a six inch sub for my lunch.  I spent the rest of the day at home, resting and elevating my left leg (which is still swollen) and watching KIMS CONVENIENCE.  


MONDAY:   I called my doctor this morning with my concerns that the swelling, heat and redness in my left lower leg has not gone away.  I was reassured that it is too soon, and it will take a few weeks.  Ugh.  The bright spot in my morning was when my cousin Becky stopped by for a bit.  She got me caught up on news about her half brother (Roger) and his sons.  Sadly, his son Steven is back on drugs and his wife Becky has left him permanently.   He had been clean for several years, and I used to invite him to Thanksgiving dinner here, and had enjoyed getting to know him.  He has had a rough life, losing both daughters to death.  

I continued watching KIMS CONVENIENCE.  I absolutely LOVE this show.  I also watched a pilot of a new show:  WEST NEW YORK.   I don't like it enough to continue.  I wrote a letter to Dominic and got it ready to mail.

TUESDAY:   I attended the Tuesday Morning Ladies Life Group this morning.  Altogether there were ten of us.  It took a little while to get started, since Cindi is away.  But once we got going, everything fell into place.  

After the meeting, Lori, Dee, Shirley and I went to COUSINS CAFE in the Bewley Building, for lunch.  The three of them had not ever been there before.   They all liked it and want to go back.  

I called Pam in the evening and offered to take her out to lunch for her birthday on Friday.  She already has plans with her daughter, so we will go to Denny's on Thursday.  Betty called from Florida and we talked for a while.

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helpers.  They put napkins and plasticware at

Week of Sunday 9/10 through Saturday 9/16, 2023

 SUNDAY the 10th:  I went to church, which was very good.  The topic was: and then out to lunch with Lori and Marlene, at Kalamata's.  I had the turkey dinner.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I talked with Mary and Peggy on the phone.  I did a bit of cleaning and straightening because tomorrow morning, Peggy and Betty are coming over to watch a Jack Hibbs video.   MONDAY:  September 11th, 2023, Betty, Peg and I met up at my house and watched the first of three videos of Jack Hibbs. speaking about DAZE OF DECEPTION.  It is excellent and we decided to meet again on Wednesday to watch part 2.   Then I went to the Y for the class for seniors called ENHANCE FITNESS.  We were all evaluated as to our speed doing certain activities.  Before leaving, I asked both Jan and Elaine if they wanted to go to LKPT ENERGY HOUSE for a shake.  They agreed, so we met up there.  While we were relaxing and drinking our shakes Captain Kendra D'Itillio of the Lockport Police came in and we chatt

Week Starting Sunday February 25th, 2024

 SUNDAY:  I started feeling kind of shaky and week during worship at church this morning.  So, I had to tell Marlene that I needed to go home after church instead of going to North Tonawanda with her.  Our plans had been to go to Joey's Place for lunch and then to the Riviera Theatre for the free organ concert by Camden Church.  I stopped at Mark's and got a slice of pizza to take home for my lunch.  It was not very good; I am sure it was left over from yesterday.  I found an episode of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES on Hoopla and watched most of one episode until I started dozing off on the couch.  I spent the rest of the day resting at home, but I started working on planning for Thursday mornings FREEDOM GROUP, which I will be facilitating.   MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment and then went to the Y where I walked 15 minutes and then used the recumbent bike for five minutes.
