SUNDAY:  Church was very good this morning, we had a guest speaker.  After church, Marlene, Betty and I had lunch together at Denny's.  I spent the rest of the day at home, and did a little bit of gardening.  I called Peggy and we agreed to meet up at her house at eleven a.m. tomorrow.  We will go to a park in East Aurora and do some geocaching.  I talked with Elaine on the phone in the evening. She told me about the National Memorial Day Weekend Concert on PBS, and I watched most of it.  It was very good. MONDAY (MEMORIAL DAY)  I met up with Peggy at her house.  After a few minutes, we headed towards East Aurora in her new car.  It was a bit of a drive, but we found it easily enough.  We were glad to see a map at the entrance, which we took pictures of.  We walked quite a distance and enjoyed our walk, even though it was pretty hot.   We had to go under this fallen tree to get to the old rusty toll bridge.  I had a rough time, but I did not fall.  Peggy did. What is left of the

Sunday the 21st:   I was debating with myself whether or not to go to an urgent care place when Peggy called.  By the time we hung up, I decided to go so I got ready for the day.   I went to WellNow, and was taken right in and seen by a PA.  I was checked over and a Covid test was done, and I can get the results tomorrow.  I stopped at Rite Aide to pick up my Flonase prescription and Zyrtec D which the PA recommended.  I decided to check the freezer area in hopes that they might have some dairy free ice cream and they did, so I bought some.  I ate some before it was time to find my church service online, and it is sooooo good!!!   I called Peg to tell her the results of my visit to WellCare, since she asked me to call and leave a message, but she answered so I told her.  It was about one minute into our church service.  I watched the service online and then called Peg and asked her to get me a CD of the speakers worship songs.   MONDAY the 22nd.  I slept very well last night, thanks t

SUNDAY:  Chris prepared pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast.  I spent some time moving pictures from my SD card to flickr. Also, I packed myself a lunch.  Marlene called at eight thirty a.m. and said she was leaving her daughters house and would be there in an hour or less.  I finished moving pics and finished packing up.  Marlene arrived at about 9:40 a.m. and we hit the road.  Marlene forgot to bring her lunch, so she bought a slice of pizza and a salad at one of the service centers off of 90 in Ohio, where we stopped around noon. I ate most of my lunch and bought a couple of candy bars and slices of lemon cake at a convenience store at the service center and I gave one of each to Marlene. Our last stop was in Fredonia at a Tim Hortons to use the bathroom and I purchased a sandwich which I ate in the car during the last leg of the trip.   We arrived back at my house about 7:45 p.m.  I took the garbage out, started a load of laundry and called both Megan and Peggy and started to g

SUNDAY the 7th.  Church was great.  Ben announced that he is leaving his position as pastor.  We honored LAW ENFORCEMENT during and after the service.  I helped serve the "brunch" in the basement that was put together for the Law Enforcement people.  It was very nice:  muffins, breads, fruit salad, several kinds of quiche, coffee, tea and juice.  I brought home fruit, bread and three types of quiche, which made for a very good lunch!  I relaxed and watched TV for the rest of the day.  I found the movie JOSHUA on Hulu, it seems familiar so I must have started watching it before this.  CALL THE MIDWIFE and TOM JONES MONDAY May 8th  I had my appointment with Dr. Zirna (foot doctor) this morning.  He trimmed off the toenail that was 3/4 of the way hanging off.  I was kind of surprised that he trimmed it instead of removing it surgically (like was done the last time this happened), but it went quickly and well, and he also offered to trim all of my toenails, which I agreed to.  We
