Sunday:  After church, I went home and picked up my macaroni salad and made myself a drink and then went to FREEDOM NORTH for the CONNECT Group picnic.  We had a pretty good sized group, I think there were about 25 people there.  Everyone was supposed to bring a dish to pass.  Glenda made a HUGE potato salad.  There was watermelon and strawberries and a vegetable plate and a lot more.   David gave a short message about prisoners and how we are born in prison, but Jesus sets us free, before he said grace.  I left at about 2:45.  I rested at home before getting up to watch RIDLEY on PBS.  Peggy called to tell me that Jeff Smith (our stepbrother) passed away.  He had been on Hospice care at home for quite a while.  Jeff was my stepbrother.  My father married his mother in 1985 when Jeff was either 17 or 18.  He went into the military later on that year.  He was the youngest of my stepmother (Matha)s children.  I never got to know any of her four children well, I mostly heard news about t

SUNDAY:  Church was good this morning, we had a guest speaker (Carol Ball) since Pastor Craig and family are away due to a death in the family.  After church, I helped pass out Fathers Day gifts to the fathers.  Then Betty, Marlene and I went out for a slice of pizza at Mark's.  I went home and rested for a few hours and then went over to visit Myrna.  I took her some baked beans and we had a nice visit. MONDAY:  Jan came over to my house and I drove us to the house of Heidi, a woman in our church who had expressed to Peggy that she needs help getting ready for her upcoming move to Florida.  We had a tiny bit of trouble locating her house, so arrived a few minutes late.  Heidi told us her story and why she is moving.  We helped her sort through stuff in her basement into two groups, one the stuff she will put into her pod, and two stuff she will be putting in her garage sale this upcoming weekend.  We were there for a couple of hours.  On the way back to my house, we stopped by El

SUNDAY:  Church this morning was great!  The theme was JUDGING.   Pastor Craig used a real log to demonstrate the "log in your own eye".  After church, I went to lunch at LaPorts with Betty, Glenda and Jan.  I had the small turkey dinner and brought some of it home.  I rested in the afternoon.  I called Myrna in the evening and we talked for about a half an hour.  I also called Betty and asked if she would like me to go with her tomorrow morning when she will have some tests at Mt. Saint Mary's Hospital.  She said no. I tried to reach Connie by phone, but I got her answering machine and left her a message.  I put a lot of clean laundry away, some of it has been sitting on Carrie's bed for over a week.  I wrapped and addressed the book that I am sending to Connie. MONDAY:  I slept pretty good last night.  I got a birthday card for Leslie ready and put it in my mailbox.  I took the book/package to the Lockport Library and mailed it to her.  She should get it in four day
