SUNDAY, November 26th:  Before going to church, I started a large batch of split pea soup with ham in my crockpot. Church was very good this morning.  Marlene, Glenda and I went to APPLEBEE'S for lunch after it was over.  I had the baby ribs with fries and coleslaw, which was delicious. (it was also kind of expensive) It was kind of chilly in the restaurant.  When I got home, and before going into the house, I spent a few minutes straightening out my car.  It got kind of messed up when Peg and I were pulling out my collapsible chairs. While straightening up, I found my missing prescription sunglasses.  I rested in the afternoon.  I talked with Connie on the phone for a while.  My soup turned out very good!  I have tons to freeze for future meals.  I also talked with Leslie on the phone. MONDAY the 27th:  Peg and I had planned to meet here at my house to watch a youtube video.  However, stuff kept coming up for her, and sh...

Sunday 11/19:  Church was so good this morning.  The theme of the sermon was WHEN SOMEONE DOES YOU DIRTY.  I love how Pastor Craig uses "props" to get points across.  He painted his shirt to emphasize his point.   Peggy and I talked about Thanksgiving after church, and agreed on two p.m. for our meal time.  Which really means something between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.  In the early evening, I called Becky to tell her, but I did NOT promise that we will eat our meal at exactly two p.m.   I had leftover turkey and stuffing from the Thanksgiving meal at the Y, so I tried a new recipe for milk gravy to put on it.  I think that I should have added some poultry seasoning and maybe some small pieces of turkey, which I should do the next time I make it.   MONDAY November 20th.  First thing this morning, I went to the library to return a book and pick up a book.  I was on the elevator going to the second floor when a woma...

SUNDAY October 12th:  Church was good this morning.  Betty was late, and Carolyn Pyskaty took her seat.  After church Betty and I along with Glenda and Marlene went to LaPorts for lunch.  We all had the beef barley soup which is soooo good, and I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I wrote out a birthday card for Nikolai and a card for Betty for her 80th birthday.  I started my homework for Tuesday mornings Life Group.   MONDAY the 13th:  Before going to Life Group I went to NorthWest Bank to order checks and to cash a check.  HOORAY, I found the $25 check that was missing, a check from one of my credit card companies giving me a refund!  I also went to DOLLAR TREE and purchased a few items, mostly paper goods.  Then I met up with Jan at the Y for our class at 12:15.   I went to WalMart before going home in order to get a sub at their SUBWAY and some milk.  I r...

SUNDAY 11/5  Church was great this morning, Pastor Craig gave a great sermon.  I stopped at MARK's and purchased  a slice of pizza which I took home and had for lunch.  Then I took a nap.  I met up with Jan at the PALACE THEATRE for this concert:  Pam had agreed to meet us there, but she did not show up.  The concert was more like a high school recital and Jan and I left during the intermission. Off and on today, I watched the movie ON GOLDEN POND.  I don't think I ever watched it before, but I may have because one of the last scenes when Chelsea learns how to dive seemed a bit familiar. MONDAY the 6th:  I went to my chiropractic appointment and then picked up a few grocery items I needed, took them home and then went to the Y where I met up with Jan.  We walked a bit and then did the 12:15 class that we both signed up for several weeks ago.  It went pretty well.  I stopped and got a shake at LKPT ENERGY HOUSE.  I spent th...
