Week of Sunday January 19th through Saturday January 25th, 2025 PORK CHOP RECIPE new google password above Tuesday.

SUNDAY:  I stayed in bed longer than I should have so I had to move quickly in without taking a break in order to get ready for church in time.  Even so, I got this past weeks trash ready to go out later on in the day.  I even had time to stop at RiteAid and pick up my Flonase on the way to church. RiteAid messed up again, only having one months supply ready.  I asked the male clerk (who has awful hair) if they had any record of my doctor sending in a request for a new prescription for a THREE month supply and he checked and saw that they did, so they were able to give me a three month supply with me only waiting a couple of minutes.  When I got to church I gave Peg the fifty dollars I owe her and David for paying my way into THE TUNNELS and supper at the Amherst Buffet.  When church let out, Marlene, Dee, Glenda and I went to Applebees for lunch.  I had the grilled chicken which was very good, and I brought some home.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I napped on the couch.  I called Peggy, Gail and Becky and set up a tentative lunch date for this coming Friday.  I talked with Elaine on the phone and we may get together on Tuesday for supper.  If the weather is OK, I will pick up spaghetti dinners at SOLID ROCK and take them to her house.  I messaged Lori about whether or not she wants to to to GOLDEN ACRES on Wednesday for the mini-quilt class. Peg called and invited me to go with her and David on Wednesday for chicken wings.

MONDAY:  I was getting ready to go to the meeting regarding the cruise in March when Betty Stover called and said she had to cancel it.  Here near my house, we only had a couple of inches of snow, but further north they had ten to twelve inches.  I browned a couple of pork chops and put them in my medium crockpot.  I made a mixture of barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar and some applesauce on top of it after the chops and onions had cooked on high for maybe an hour and a half.  I put the DAILY WIRE LIVE (on YouTube) on TV

so I could watch the INAUGURATION of DONALD J. TRUMP.  Praise God that common sense is returning to the USA.  I spent a couple of hours attempting to do what Betty Stover told me to do, to go into the APP STORE on my phone and get the PRINCESS APP.  I had tried previously to get an app from Google Play (like Pam suggested) without success, so I was pretty sure it would be difficult.  Because I did not know my google account password, in fact I was not even sure I HAD a google account.  Anyways, I ended up changing various passwords (more than once) and I think I am in business.  So, I missed my nap.   I put a potato in the oven at six p.m.   The pork chops turned out great!!!!

I had to change my google password to 2025cruise$$$ associated with this email address:  simmccc87@gmail.com     Tuesday, January 21st about six thirteen p.m.

Tuesday:  I went to LIFE GROUP, there were seven of us there.  I had to leave a few minutes early in order to pick Jan up to take her to EXCELSIOR.  I also called Elaine at that time in so we could discuss whether or not I would be going to SOLID ROCK to pick up spaghetti dinners for her and I.  She told me that the weather was predicted to change so I told her I would call her when I got back to Lockport after taking Jan to her appointment.  I picked Jan up.  As we were leaving Lockport where the weather was clear, all of a sudden it started blowing and snowing and it was a difficult slow drive, but we made it.  I read the recent issue of DECISION MAGAZINE while waiting for Jan.  I think we were there close to two hours.  Jan's cast was removed and now she can drive!  The weather was clear when we left EXCELSIOR but as we approached Lockport, it started snowing and blowing.  I dropped Jan off and then called Elaine and told her that I didn't think I should drive to Gasport to get spaghetti dinners.  She agreed.  I was glad to get home.  I made myself a grilled chicken sandwich on two small croissants, heated up some soup that had been in the freezer and made some hot chocolate out of Lactose Free Milk.

Wednesday:  I went to the library and Dollar Tree before going to the Y  to meet up with Jan.  I arrived a couple of minutes late and noticed that her car was not there.  I figured maybe she was still cleaning the snow off of it, but she did not show up.  I walked for twenty minutes and used the recumbent bike for five minutes.  Then I went to the Taylor Theatre for GOLDEN ACRES.  Deb met me there.  There were some women from a quilting club, with their sewing machines.  There were seven machines, seven participants and maybe ten or eleven leaders.  I got paired up with Judy, and she kind of walked me through making a small rug to put a hot drink on.  It was a bit stressful, but not too bad.  Here is a picture of the finished project.

When I got home, Peggy was here, working in the basement.  I helped her carry boxes of metal, and other stuff oout to her car and then put my car in the garage.  After she left, I had a little while to rest before Peggy and David picked me up to go out for "wings", at BIG SHOTS Bar and Grill on Lower Mountain Road in Cambria.

I had a grilled chicken wrap with fries.  It was pretty good.

Thursday:   I puttered around this morning, straightening up and putting things away.  I worked on sorting my recipes and got rid of a few more.  Peggy came over and worked in the basement for a short time.  I found an Amir Tsarfati video on youtube that Peg recommended.  While watching it, I decided to write out a postcard for Tyler, and then I figured it might be a good idea to go through a box of postcards and decide which ones to keep and which ones to give to Jan.  So, I worked on that and put together a bunch of postcards to give to Jan.  They are of places that I have not been to, so I see no need to keep them.  They originally belonged to Mary Anne.  The rest are organized now.  Also, I pulled out all of my DVDs and boxed and bagged them up.  I will have Peggy look through them since I am sure some of them were hers that she loaned me.

Lori and I met at five p.m at ARBY's and had supper, using coupons she brought. Our plan was to go to the theatre at the Kenan Center for the concert of WW2 music, featuring  LOCK CITY SOUND (a men's group)   but it was snowing and Lori was concerned because her car is not good in the snow.  So, we skipped the concert. Driving on Transit was a bit difficult, but once I turned at the light in front of the old Rite Aid, things got easier.  I was glad to get home and get into my pajamas.  I called Leslie right away because she had called earlier when nI was getting ready to leave. She may come in February for a few days in order to go to a birding event in Niagara Falls.

FRIDAY:   I did a few little things around the house in the morning, and showered and washed my hair.  Peggy picked me up at 12:45 and we went to an Italian restaurant in Newfane to meet up with our cousin Becky.  Gail was supposed  to join us, but she has a bad head cold so she could not make it.  We had a nice lunch at CAFORA'S.  Their lunch menu prices are very reasonable.  I had the eggplant Parm with spaghetti which came with a salad and bread.  Becky showed us a picture of her at a WOODSTOCK event

she went to and also a blanket that her sister Betsey gave her not long be

fore she passed away a few weeks ago.  I took a couple of pictures:

Peg and I went to the nursing home in Newfane and visited Dottie Sutherland and Robin Brown.  Both of them seem happy there.

SATURDAY:  I made onion soup in the crockpot and a macaroni salad.  Did not accomplish much else. Peg came over and worked in the basement while I took a nap.  I slept horribly last night and needed it.
