Week of Sunday, June 15th through Saturday June 21, 2025 and what Christa said about unwanted people (new recipe for chicken thighs in oven, very good)

Christa typed this in FB private message:     I would like unwanted children, babies, adults, however you look at them.. i choose for the unwanted to be eliminated, yes. How dare a person bring an unwanted person into the world. How dare you.

SUNDAY:  Church was very good today.  We were able to move up one row and Louise and Maggie joined us, Betty and Jan were not in church today.  It was Fathers Day Sunday and Pastor Craig worked that into his sermon.  There was a WALL OF TOOLS AND DONUTS in the lobby so that the Dads could have donuts and each dad was also given a gift.

After, Marlene, Glenda, Andrea, Louise and I went to THE OLIVE LEAF for lunch.  I had a chicken souvlaki on pita bread (recommended by Glenda) and I ordered a salad to take home with me.  Before going home, I stopped at Panera's and got a large iced tea.  I took an afternoon nap and then I spent some time going through the several junk drawers in the large hutch that I hope to take with me when I move.  I made some progress, but not much.  I had some of my salad for supper and started watxhing PATIENCE, a series on PBS.  I am not sure about it.  I found the movie THE UPSIDE and watched it.  I like it.

MONDAY:  I had an eleven fifteen appointment with my primary for my annual check.  I decided that since I had to go out for that, I should do a few other things: mainly shopping for items I think I will need for my cruise.  I hade a list and did accomplish the shopping, but was too tired for a couple of other things namely

1. going to the liquor store for boxes

2. going to the Dollar Tree for a birthday card for Tyler

3.stopping at WalGreens to make sure they will fill my prescription for Viberzi.

4. looking for bulbs for two of my lamps that do not take standard bulbs.

Anyways, my first stop was at Panera where I got a drink and then I dropped off a bag of stuff at the GOOD WILL, and I went in to look for a rain jacket or a rain coat. I did not find anything.  Then I went to the hospital for my appointment.  Before going in, I set out four painted rocks.  My appointment went very well and Dr Guntrum said that I am doing well, but that I might want to try physical therapy to strengthen my legs.  I went to RUNNINGS to look for a raincoat and for waterproof shoes or short boots.  No luck with the raincoat but I brought home two pairs of waterproof shoes and two pairs of short boots.  I have sixty days to return them as long as I have my receipt.  I continued on out the transit, first going to FEEL RITE, where I purchased LACTO and DIGEST GOLD.  Then to Wegmans where I used my $25 gift card.  Then I headed for home.  I stopped at PANERA and got another drink.  And after that, I was just too tired to do anything more even though I really wanted to pick up some lunch.  I didn't, though, and had lunch at home.  It was not long before I HAD to lay down but I could not fall asleep.  I had some of my salad from THE OLIVE LEAF for supper and some of the white cherries I got at Wegmans today.  I was tired all evening and did not accomplish anything.

TUESDAY:  Life Group wa sexceptionally good this morning.  Six of us went to THE HONG KONG Buffet for lunch.  Glenda, Carol, Cindi, Betty, Karen and me.  After that I decided to work on some of the things on the above list (yesterday) The liquor store does not give boxes away anymore.  At WalMart, I could not find the bulbs.  I got boxes at WM, though, some free and a couple that I paid for.  I did not go to Dollar Tree.  When I got home, I called WalGreens, and after waiting and being on hold and a human three times, and more being on hold, I was told that they are ordering it today and it will arrive tomorrow or the next day.  I had a light supper and watched TV in the evening.  I also tried on the waterproof boots and decided which pair to keep.  I made up a document of info. for the trip to Seneca Falls that Mary and I will be taking in about a month.  I found a movie on HOOPLA to watch.  COME SEE THE PARADISE.  Lori called. Tomorrow night she will pick up beef on Weck and fries at Cusimano's and bring it here for our supper and we will watch a movie.  This is her birthday gift to me.  I finished reading the book Leslie gave me.

WEDNESDAY:  I stayed home all day.  Peggy came over to do some weeding out work, but she and I got caught up in measuring my furniture (the stuff I want to take when I move) and drawing up a floor plan.  In the afternoon, I took a nap and when I got up I showered and washed my hair.  Lori arrived a little after six thirty and she brought roast beef sandwiches and fries for our supper.  I had made an impossible pie for our desert.  I tried a different recipe that did not call for bisquick and I don't like it as much as the bisquick recipe.  We watched the movie TORTURED FOR CHRIST, and then a little bit of Celtic Women.

THURSDAY:  I arrived at my tyneologists office at ten forty five for my eleven a.m. appointment only to find out that I had the wrong time and my appointment was at one p.m.  No problems, since I had errands I needed to run, so I decided to do them before my appointment instead of after.  I dropped off a bag of items at the Good Will.  I went to RUNNINGS and returned the two pair of waterproof shoes/boots and was able to find light bulbs to replace two in lamps, and a nice guy named Zack helped me find magnetic hooks, even though it meant asking several people and going to several departments! I went to DOLLAR TREE and got a birthday card for Tyler.  By them it was lunch time and I only wanted something little, so I went to PANERA and had a bagel with cream cheese.  Then I went to my appointment which went well and was quick. (I dropped off several Readers Digest magazines in the waiting room).  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I had a nap and watched TV for a while.  I boxed up some glass items for Christa, that will be stored at Peggy's house.  I changed my password for Angel Studios so that I could share a movie with Peggy.  SABINA.

FRIDAY:  I did not sleep well last night.  I puttered around the house until it was time to leave to meet up with Jan at the Y.  I dropped off some bottles at a redemption center and then I stopped at PANERA and got a drink before going to the Y. I added several magazines to the little library there.  Jan and I walked for a little over thirty minutes.  I stopped at ALDI to get a few items before going home.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I was getting ready to take a nap when Peggy arrived.  We had some cruise business to talk over, and also I called AAA and made an appointment for her and I to meet with Susan, the travel agent, next Tuesday at one p.m.  I will have to skip going to lunch with the others after Life Group.  After my nap, I found four places in my yard to put some fresh soil and some zinnia seeds down.  I made a four bean salad, which is in the frig for tomorrow.  Connie called and we talked for about a half an hour.  She was quite lucid and we had a good conversation.  I worked on adding some pictures to my blog entries for my March cruise.

SATURDAY:  I did not go out at all today.  I was busy almost all the time until about two thirty.  Mostly working on organizing and going through stuff but I took the time to clean the sneakers that I got all muddy doing the maze on Mothers Day.  They look pretty good.  I made a small potato salad. As I was going through things that I had stored in Dad's hutch, I found several old milk bottles, mostly small ones.  I tried to find information online about value and was successful with some of them.  Now there is a box full of glass items, mostly milk bottles, for Peggy and Gail to sell, if they want to.  I took a nap between three and five, and then read SON OF HAMAS for about 40 minutes.  When I got up I prepared the organi chicken thighs left over from Allegany in April.  I used a new recipe that I found online and they turned out very good.  The recipe is four chicken thighs, season both sides with four teaspoons garlic powder and four teaspoons of minced onion.  I pulled the skin back on the top and put the seasoning under the skin.  I think I had the oven at four hundred degrees, and I baked them for 45 minutes, the first half covered with foil and the second half without foil.    I started watching THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES on PBS, and I really like it BUT Donald Trump will address the nation in one hour (at the exact time the third episode is supposed to air).   THE USA BOMBED the NUCLEAR PRODUCTION SITES in Iran a couple of hours ago.
