WEEK of NOVEMBER 30th 2025 through December 6th, 2025
SUNDAY: I am still suffering from this head cold or COVID. I think it IS Covid, but I don't have any tests and I do not want to pay for one. I called Glenda to let her know that I would not be in church, and she told me that she is also staying home, she does not feel well. She said Carol won't be in church either because she went to an early service. Jan is also not feeling well enough to go to church.
I found my church service LIVE on facebook and cast it to my ROKU TV. I laid down on the couch to listen to the sermon and I have have fallen asleep. Anyways, I stayed on the couch a long time. I just do ot have any energy. Except for taking the trash out to the road, I did not go anyplace today.
MONDAY: I had really wanted to be able to keep my eye exam appointment this morning, but I was not able to since I still feel awful, so I called and cancelled. I watched the movie AS GOOD AS IT GETS.
TUESDAY: I went out for a bit, to mail checks to Lockport Lawn Sharks and to pick up a few items at Niagara Produce. Other than that I stayed home for the remainder of the day, even though I feel a LOT better. Cindi cancelled Life Group today because she is battling a sore throat and a few other people are ill. I hadn't showered or even changed out of my pajamas since I started feeling ill this past Friday. I finally did, early this evening.
WEDNESDAY: I got up early and got ready to go to the Y for MOVERS and MAKERS. It has turned out to be a highlight of my week, and I am so glad that I was well enough to go. I stopped at PANERA's for a drink befdore going to the Y. We each made two Christmas cards during he "MAKERS" part.

On my way out of the Y, I located the drop off spot (a large plastic barrel) for the Peanut Butter and Jelly drive. Then I went to TOPS to get fruit for fruitcake. Then I went to WalMart where I picked up four jars of peanut butter and four jars of jelly. Bianca had asked me to do this for her. Then I dropped the items off at the Y. I decided to have lunch at Burger King, but that was a mistake. The are very short staffed and I had to wait close to fifteen minutes for my food. I spent the rest of the day at home. I prepared chicken and dumplings (with vegetables) for my supper.
THURSDAY: Before going to my appointment with my primary (Dr. Basra at the new hospital), I went to Walgreens and picked up my Viberzi, and also to the DOLLAR TREE and picked up a few items I needed. My appointment went well. Before going home, I stopped at PANERA and purchased lunch which I took home.
After lunch, I started cleaning out my refrigerator. It is partially, maybe one third done now. I spent the rest of the day at home. I found the movie NEBRASKA on Hoopla.
FRIDAY the 5th: Peggy came over late morning to get a few things out of the garage and basement. She had brought her lunch, so I sat with her when she ate. In the afternoon, I took a bit of a nap, but I had a hard time due to coughing. I had a light supper and then went to Peggy's house to pick them up to go to thr high school for the play THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK. It was very good.
SATURDAY Decembr 6th: In the morning, Peggy picked me up and we went to the Farmers Market. I had twenty dollars worth of food coupons and Peggy had ten dollars worth of food coupons that Jan gave her. I got a loaf of pizza bread, a dozen cookies and some organic chicken thighs. Then we headed out to see Carrie at the Hoover Road house. On the way we stopped at HOOVERS little store for eggnog. I purchased two quarts which I took to the staff at the Hoover house. We had a nice visit with Carrie and Peggy gave her a Christmas present. After that, I spent the day at home. I got the trash ready for tomorrow. I made some chocolate pudding. I showered and washed my hair. In the evening, I found a really good movie on PLUTO TV called LEGENDS OF THE FALL. It is a western. I texted Glenda to find out how she is doing, and she said she is still not doing well. I think she has been sick since the day she got a flu shot, about two weeks ago.
