Week of Sunday January 11th through Saturday 17th, 2026
SUNDAY the 11th of January: Church was very good. After, Marlene, Linda, Glends, Carol and I went to lunch at Applebees. I ordered the chicken sandwich special but I neglected to ask for grilled rather than "crispy" chicken so my meal was not as good as it usually is. I had broccoli instead of french fries. Before our meals came, Linda, Marlene and I figured out some problems on our cell phones. Linda and I had been unable to text each other because she had my cell and home phone in the wrong spot. Marlene just needed to update numbers.
I spent the rest of the day at home. I worked on homework for Tuesday morning Bible study, took a nap, then read the first chapter of Hebrews and Ezekiel and then watched a video of the first chapter of Ezekiel. Then I found some 1970s worship music on youtube. I spent the evening watching PBS. First, the start of a new season of MISS SCARLET, then the first episode of Season Six of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, and then Season One, Episode one of BOOKISH.
Also, I got caught up on this blog and flickr. Around 9:45, I got a call from Peggy telling me that Elizabeth thinks she is having a heart attack, and she called Peg and David hoping for a ride teo the hospital. They refused, because they did not feel confident that they would know what to do for her if she got worse on the ride over. Betty reluctantly agreed to call an ambulance. I asked Peg if she thought I should go over to her place to wait for the ambulance with her and she said no. Peggy was going to call Betty's daughter, Debby. I told Peg to keep me posted if she gets any new from or about Betty.

MONDAY the 12th: Peg texted me in the morning saying that Betty did not have a heart attack and she was on her way to pick her up at the hospital. I met up with Andrea at the Y (after going to Panera for a drink and a bowl of soup) and we walked the track. I think I walked a total of 50 minutes. Then I went to WalMart for some groceries. My UNITED card paid for them! Hooray. I finished my homework for tomorrow, before I took a nap. I watched the movie THE ACCUSED with Jodi Foster in the evening.

Tuesday the 13th: Before going to FREEDOM for Bible Study, I went to the library and made copies of the leter I got from United, regarding my VIBERZI. United does not want to pay for it. Kevin Barrett has not called me back yet. A bunch of us went to PANERA for lunch. I spent the rest of the day at home.

WEDNESDAY the 14th of January: I arrived right on time to the MOVERS AND MAKERS group. Our art project was to do with Georgia O'Keefe. Peg, Andrea and I had agreed to get together at FREEDOM to start studying the book of Ezekiel and to pray for unsaved loved ones. Andrea came to Movers and Makers but had to leave at nine a.m. because her daughters babysitter had cancelled so she could not join us. So, we decided to cancel the Ezekiel part but proceed with prayer for loved ones. We met upstairs at the church and had our own private prayer meeting and it went well. It was still early when we finished and I decided to go to WalMart for a couple of items I forgot the other day, and then to PANERA for a drink. I had a light lunch when I got home, and took an afternoon nap. I put the car in the garage since there is a WINTER STORM WARNING in effect.

THURSDAY the 15th We got a few inches of snow during the night but it kept coming down steadily in the morning. I decided to spend the day at home. I put pork ribs and onions in the crockpot in the morning. A couple of hours later, I put a couple of cans of beans and some condiments etc. in my small crockpot. I texted Andrea to find out if she has got the results of her scan/xray from a couple of days ago. She found out that she has pneumonia in one of her lungs and the doc ordered a new antibiotic for her. I called her and we prayed together for complete healing. The seniors event at the Y was cancelled. Someone from Dr. Lenahan's office called because the referral I requested from my primary (Dr. Basra) had not been completed. The docs office will take care of it. A little boy and his Dad knocked on my door and wondered if I would like them to snow blow my driveway and sidewalk. He said they would charge five dollars for the sidewalk, but I only had a twenty, so I said no, but the Dad snowblowed it anyway. (Later on, after hours of snow, someone else snowblowed it. My ribs were done early, so I had lunch at two thirty, ribs, beans and asparagus. Then I took a nap. I spent the rest of the day at home. I watched new episodes of LAW AND ORDER and SVU in the evening.

FRIDAY the 16th of January I did a bit of snow shoveling this morning, mostly the ridge in front of the garage. Bob came and plowed before I even got out of bed. First I went to the post office and mailed the watch to Nikolai, then headed out the transit. I went to FEEL RITE before going to my dermatologist appointment, which went well. And then I went next door to NorthWest Bank and cashed Bianca's check. My last stop was PANERA where I got a drink. WHen I got home, I called Glenda because I wondered if she and Carol would be going out for a fish fry. I guess they had and Glenda said she has a pain in her hip or kidney after bending over so many times to do some shredding. I made cupcakes and then took a nap. When I got up, I frosted them and then made myself a grilled GOUDA cheese sandwich for my lunch. I found two movies on HOOPLA to watch in the evening.

SATURDAY: I picked Peggy up a couple of minutes aftere ten a.m. and we headed to the HOOVER ROAD house to spend some time with Carrie on her birthday. We had a nice visit. The house had a bag with presents and Carrie pulled most of them out of the bag. She liked the two small toys the best. I gave her three small toys, and she seemed to like them. We sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY and prayed with Carrie. I left two dozen cupcakes there for staff and residents.
