SUNDAY:  Church was really good.  Andrew and John Eastmond ministered and did individual prophecies for those who wished it.  After church, Marlene and I had planned to go to CAMPBELLS INN for lunch and I invited Glenda to go with us, but Louise and Lori were added to our group.  Lori did not have a whole lot of time since she had to go to work, so we changed our plan to APPLEBEE'S. The five of us had a nice lunch together.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I did a load of laundry.  Peggy called around six p.m. to tell me that Mike Pillot, who used to be a close friend of our brother, Mike, is down to 85 pounds.  Mike is on his way over to pray with Mike Pillot and hopefully lead him to Jesus.  Peggy asked for prayer and I agreed.  Mike P. lost his wife to cancer a couple of years ago.  He is a bit of a character.  He and his son renovated the bathroom here at 17 Phelps Street eleven years ago.  I decided t...

SUNDAY:  It was kind of a busy day.  It was the last Sunday of "LETS GO TO THE MOVIES" at Freedom Church.  The movie was YOUNG GIRL AND THE SEA, a true story about a swimmer who overcame hardship and was successful in swimming the English Channel and even went to the Olympics and won.  After church, Glenda, Lori, Marlene and I went to DENNY'S for lunch. During lunch, Marlene brought up a miniature golf event that she was planning.  She had not told me about it because I must have said I do not like miniature golf.  Also, she said, the only person who likes to hang out with me is Carolyn!!!!  Lori had to go to work but Glenda, Marlene and I went to THE COLONEL BOND HOUSE for this event.  Betty told me about it the other day when I called to tell her about another event.  Unfortunately, it was terribly hot in the Bond House, since it is not air conditioned.  It really is a good exhibit though; each room highlights different decades a...

Sunday:   Church was good.  We were given CRACKER JACKS and there were other snacks available.  After church, I met up with Lori and Lois at STEAK, STONE and SUSHI.  I had the Chicken Teriyaki $19.25 (grilled seasoned tender chicken breast on top of veggies finished with homemade teriyaki sauce). It came with Miso soup and white rice (a huge portion).  Lois ordered the AVOCADO FRIES and shared them.  Lori had the crab salad which she said had a LOT of crab in it and was very good.  I took a good sized portion of my food home.  Before going home, I went to THE DOLLAR TREE mostly to get some dishwashing liquid, but I purchased several other items. I spent the rest of the day at home.  I briefly tried to figure out how to use the remote control for my XUMO box tv but did not succeed.   In the evening, I found the movie TRACKS on HOOPLA. A young woman goes on a 1,700-mile trek across the deserts of West Australia with four ca...

SUNDAY:  Church was very good again!!!    The movie featured was A WING AND A PRAYER, and ice cream sandwiches were passed out just as the service started.  After church, Peggy held a seniors event at Parkside Diner across from Day Road Park.  It was a little disorganized, and it was SO hot.  I ordered a lactose free milkshake and a hot ham sandwich.  I was not very hungry and did not finish either one.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I completed my Univera order of OTC items so that I can get it in the mail tomorrow.   Kind of late in the evening (after nine p.m.) I had an idea: that after leaving Michigan on August 17th (Saturday) Marlene and I might break our trip up by going to Sugarcreek, Ohio to see the SIGHT AND SOUND production of RUTH at a theatre there.  I called Marlene and she liked the idea.  I was able to find an available room with two beds in Sugarcreek so I reserved it.  It was too late t...
