 I had planned to go to the LADIES LIFE GROUP at Freedom Church this morning but I was suffering from diarrhea due to eating an ice cream sandwich yesterday afternoon.  I divided my time between the bathroom and my bed in the morning watching several episodes of SCHITT'S CREEK.  

Betty dropped off a Paula's Donut for me!  

Early afternoon I had something small to eat and then after checking the mail, took an item from the USPS regarding Mary Anne's mail to the lawyers office.  I also went to Aldi's to get some bananas and a can of soup.  Then to Rite Aid to get a few items.  

John Urtel came over to get the new title for Mary Anne's car.

 This was what I saw out the window when I got up. The RUBY PRINCESS had stopped and we were in Skagway!  We had breakfast at the Botticelli (I had a soft boiled egg, toast, oatmeal and a banana) and then we returned to our room to get ready for getting off the ship and going to Skagway.  We got tickets for Shuttle #10 and went down to wait to be called.  Things moved along fairly quickly. The shuttle boat was one of the lifeboats, it took us to the mainland.  This is a view of the RUBY PRINCESS from the port.   When we arrived we took a shuttle to the downtown area where we walked around a bit. The downtown area has a lot of interesting shops, etc. but we did not have time to go in many of them.  Here are a few pictures:    We found a geocaches in the library (hooray). Sunday March 31st through Tuesday April 1st, 2025

 SUNDAY:  After church, Marsha, her daughter Colleen, Lori and I decided to go out for lunch.  We had a hard time deciding which place to go, but finally decided on DENNYS.  I arrived first and the parking lot was NOT full, but as I waited for the others, people kept coming and I could see lots of tables waiting to be cleaned up and workers rushing around, so I decided that they were probably understaffed.  I went back out to the parking lot to wait for the others.  Marsha and Colleen drove in and I suggested we go to Arby's next door.  They drove over, and I waited for Lori.  She did not want to go to Arbys since she was there a day or so ago, so she and I decided to go to APPLEBEES, and I went over to Arbys to tell Marsha and Colleen, who had already ordered and were waiting for their food.  I apologized for all the changes.  Lori and I met up aet Applebees, and we both had the meal deal special, a drink fries and either a burger or ch...

November 20th, 2020

 I had the oil changed on my car this morning.  I talked with Elaine and Betty on the phone, also.   I decided it would be a good day to stock up on groceries and other items since Thanksgiving is next week and the stores will be full of people.  Also, from watching the news, I think maybe there will be another STAY AT HOME order coming soon due to the rising number of COVID cases in this area.   First I went to Aldi's where I spent close to one hundred dollars on all sorts of items including some frozen vegetables, a piece of salmon, ground beef, canned vegetables, etc.  I took those groceries home so I could get the frozen stuff into the freezer.  I made myself  a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch.  I have so much food, paper items and cleaning items that it was hard to find spots to put everything.  I still have two hundred dollars worth of SNAP benefits available.   I rested, read and watched TV the rest ...
