Tuesday, August 24, 2021 to Oneonta and back to Auburn: lots of geocaching (DAY TWO of TRIP)
Leslie and I left Auburn a few minutes before nine a.m. and headed to Oneonta. We arrived a bit after noon. I got gas and we went to the GREEN EARTH where Leslie got some items and then to BROOKS, where we picked up chicken dinners. We met up with Carol at Wilber Park. She has a new truck.
Connie had called her and told her that she could not join us.
Carol, Leslie and I had our lunch and I called Connie and asked if we could go over to her place and visit her for a little while and she said she was waiting for several phone calls and we would not be able to have an uninterrupted visit. The three of us found the geocache hidden in the Little Library behind El Fartero's house.
His back yard backs up to the lower level of Wilber Park. Before leaving Oneonta, we stopped at the HISTORY CENTER, but the fellow that Leslie wanted to see was not available.
We headed north to Cooperstown and stopped for a snack and cold drink at the McDonalds there and we used their free wifi and got information for several geocaches on our route home.
EXTRA CHEESE is hidden in a row of rocks in front of the Pizza Hut in Cooperstown, which is now empty.
BASSETT HOUND is hidden in a lamppost outside a pet supply store in Cooperstown.

We did not find FULMER TANK, because we would have had to walk through puddles in grass to get to it.
