Saturday, October 30th and Sunday, October 31st 2021

SATURDAY 10/30  Betty and I signed up for a guided walk to the POOR HOUSE CEMETERY across from the Niagara County Jail this morning but the weather is awful, cold, damp and rainy so we decided to not go.  

I set up an appointment for a COVID booster tomorrow morning at WalGreens.  I asked Betty if she would pick Maggie up to take her to church tomorrow since my appointment is at 10:45 a.m. 

The British series THE SPLIT is great!!!  I finished it.  I talked with Leslie on the phone.  She is doing well.  She has pretty much decided to NOT get the booster shot.


SUNDAY 10/31    I went to WalGreens and had my COVID booster shot this morning.  The worker who gave it to me was dressed up as a witch.  I barely felt the injection.  I arrived about ten minutes late for church.  I dropped off the two Operation Children Child boxes that I put together.  

I stayed home the rest of the day, mostly relaxing.  I talkd with Christa and Nikolai on the phone.

 Easter Sunday:  I slept fairly well last night.  While getting ready for church, I put on GAITHER SING-A-LONG 2025 !!!!   And indeed, I did sing along.  When I got to church a full half hour before the ten forty five service was going to start, the parking lot was ALMOST FULL.  There was one empty spot in the front, and in the back was almost full.  I parked in the very last pull out spot in the row.  Church was great!  I sat with Jan, Linda Stein and Marlene whose daughter and a male friend had joined her.  When church was over,  I gave Peggy a ride home and she changed clothes and she and I and David went to ANTONIO's for Easter dinner.  This was our third year doing this.  I treated them because David's eightieth birthday is coming up in eight or nine days.  I ate some cheesecake for desert and took a couple of LACTO pills to help with that.  When we were driving home, we were on Hoover Road when I reali...

Sunday March 31st through Tuesday April 1st, 2025

 SUNDAY:  After church, Marsha, her daughter Colleen, Lori and I decided to go out for lunch.  We had a hard time deciding which place to go, but finally decided on DENNYS.  I arrived first and the parking lot was NOT full, but as I waited for the others, people kept coming and I could see lots of tables waiting to be cleaned up and workers rushing around, so I decided that they were probably understaffed.  I went back out to the parking lot to wait for the others.  Marsha and Colleen drove in and I suggested we go to Arby's next door.  They drove over, and I waited for Lori.  She did not want to go to Arbys since she was there a day or so ago, so she and I decided to go to APPLEBEES, and I went over to Arbys to tell Marsha and Colleen, who had already ordered and were waiting for their food.  I apologized for all the changes.  Lori and I met up aet Applebees, and we both had the meal deal special, a drink fries and either a burger or ch...

SUNDAY, December 11th, 2022 CONNECT CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helper...
