 I met up with Marlene at AAA and we met with Lynette and we re-booked our trip to GLACIER NATIONAL PARK.  There was nothing available in July, so we booked one in early August.    The price has gone up in one year, and we each have to pay an additional eight hundred and some dollars, even after a special discount that is being offered right now and the senior discount which I don't think we got last year when we originally booked the trip.  

After that I went to Rite Aid hoping to get my Viberzi and Xidra.   My Xrida is not available yet but my Viberzi was and I haven't figured out why the price tripled.  I went to the library and read the current local newspapers for the past few days and I picked up a book, and then I went to Niagara Produce and purchased a few items including a steak which I prepared for my lunch.  I broiled it along with onions and mushrooms and ate half for my lunch.

I made fruitcake in the evening.  Two large loafs, two small loafs and three cupcakes.  I ate two of the three cupcakes.  

I called Peg to find out what the plan for tomorrow evening is.  She wants me to meet up with Jenny at the church at five forty five p.m.   There will be instructions for us as far as setting up for the meal.  Peg will arrive with the food around six p.m.

 I got to the church around ten forty a.m.   I asked Lou to let me in to the office area and he did.  I picked up the boxes of cards, list of names and the printed Christmas carols and then I went down to the basement and looked for the "sugars" for the tea.  I found a few.  Then I located the case of bottles of water, but it was heavy, so I located Lou again and he carried it to the kitchen.   Once I got back to the kitchen, I looked for more "sugars" but couldn't find any, so I went to the COFFEE BAR, and they filled a bowl with different types for me.  I got the silverware ready.  I opened up the packaging that held the tablecloths captive (I have had difficulty opening them in the past) so that they would be ready to go.  David and Jan both came at the end of the service.  Jan located the floral displays for the tables, and we started to put the red tablecloths on the tables.  By this time, we had a lot of other helpers.  They put napkins and plasticware at

Week Starting Sunday February 25th, 2024

 SUNDAY:  I started feeling kind of shaky and week during worship at church this morning.  So, I had to tell Marlene that I needed to go home after church instead of going to North Tonawanda with her.  Our plans had been to go to Joey's Place for lunch and then to the Riviera Theatre for the free organ concert by Camden Church.  I stopped at Mark's and got a slice of pizza to take home for my lunch.  It was not very good; I am sure it was left over from yesterday.  I found an episode of BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES on Hoopla and watched most of one episode until I started dozing off on the couch.  I spent the rest of the day resting at home, but I started working on planning for Thursday mornings FREEDOM GROUP, which I will be facilitating.   MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment and then went to the Y where I walked 15 minutes and then used the recumbent bike for five minutes.  SUNDAY:  I decided to go to TOPS before going to church, hoping to get some IRISH SODA BREAD.  They had it (right inside the front door) so I got it, and a couple of other items. Church was excellent, the sermon was about HELL!!!   After church I took my groceries home and put the garbage out and changed into jeans before meeting up with Glenda, Elaine and Betty at LaPorts.  They all had corned beef and cabbage, but I had the turkey dinner.  I brought most of it home.  Pam called and wanted me to go to a musical event at a church, but I really wanted to spend the rest of the day at home.  I had a nap.  I scanned some of Peggy's NURSING HOME MINISTRY at Mt. View into her flickr account.  I found a movie: I ACCUSED, based on a true story.     MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment this morning.  I did some jobs around the house until it was time to go to the Y for my class.  It went very well.  I stopped at THE DOLLAR TREE to get some cookie mixes.  I spent the rest of the day
