Wednesday, May 25th and Thursday the 26th, 2022 and Friday the 27th
WEDNESDAY: I went to my chiropractic appointment and then to TOPS to get a few items for my trip and stopped at Burger King and used a coupon and picked up a cheap lunch. Spent the rest of the day at home: watered my flower beds, worked on geocaching info. for the trip, talked to Betty on the phone a couple of times and not much else. Watched the PBS documentary about the plague in China Town in San Francisco in 1901 in the evening. I tried to reach Connie by phone, but she did not answer and her voice mail does not seem to be working.
I was on FaceBook in the evening when someone mentioned that Diane Aleksandrowicz passed away. I was shocked, but then I remembered that a few years ago she had mentioned that she was diagnosed with cancer. I guess I figured that she had treatment and beat it. Diane was born on my birthday in 1968 and her mother named her Diane Carolyn. I feel so bad for her mother (Terry). Walt (her husband) died from cancer twenty years ago. She had six children and now four of them are deceased. Three with cancer and one with something sudden and unexpected. I messaged Jane (Terry's oldest child) and verified Terry's address and wrote out a card to mail tomorrow.
THURSDAY: I accompanied Carrie and Sue (Medical Liaison) to Carrie's appointment with the Breast Specialist, Dr. Tambar. Dr. Tambar is not concerned about the lump in Carrie's right breast, and suggested we have an ultrasound done in about six months and keep an eye on it. I had a few minutes at home where I prepared myself a drink and grabbed a bag of potato chips and then headed over to FREEDOM CHURCH for my meeting with Peggy and Betty where we continue to watch the Perry Stone video. Betty provided six inch subs from SUBWAY for our lunch. Cindi Landrigan joined us for this meeting. Then I met up with Peggy, David and a building inspector at my house, and the inspector checked out the upstairs and said he was ready to sign off on this being turned back into a one family home. Then David helped me connect the three hoses so that I can water the new plants in the front of the house.
Becky called and wondered if I might be able to get together with her and her son, Scott since he is on his way here from Pennsylvania. I talked to Peg and after several phone calls, she and David and I and Scott and Becky will meet up at LaPorts for breakfast at ten fifteen a.m. Saturday.
Betty and I took a long walk in the evening, and I showed her how to turn the water on for the hose so she can water my flower beds while I am gone. Later, I watched the final episode of BULL and programmed some geocaches in ASP into my GPS.
FRIDAY: I did two loads of laundry this morning and the first load was fine, but the second load did not spin out. I called an appliance repair person and made an appointment for the day after I get home from Allegany. I did some vacuuming and continued packing for ASP.
In the evening, I met up with Peggy and David at their house and we went to TEXAS de BRAZIL for supper.
I treated them for David's birthday and their anniversary which is on Monday. It was a very expensive, but very good meal. Then we went to REIDS for ice-cream. I had been looking forward to trying the chocolate/peanut butter custard made from almond milk.
I could barely taste the chocolate or the peanut butter. What a disappointment. I was pretty tired when I got home so I rested and watched TV in the evening. I called Myrna at eleven p.m. (she stays up very late every night) and we talked for about a half an hour or so. She is doing well and has been busy going places the past few days.
