SUNDAY:  I picked Jan up for church.  Church was great!!!!  They offered a continental breakfast before and after the service, but I had a bit of an upset stomach before the service and after the service, I did not want to spoil my appetite for Easter dinner.  After church, Jan and I met up with Peggy and first we took Jan home and then went back to Peg's house to pick David up.  We took my car and David drove.  We went to Antonio's in Niagara Falls for their Easter Brunch.  It was very good.  The highlight was the very tender and tasty lamb for which mint jelly was provided.  The ham was also delicious and tender.  After the meal, David asked if I wanted to fill up my gas tank on the reservation and I agreed.  However, when we got there he decided the prices were too high.  I spent the rest of the day at home. APRIL FOOLS DAY 2024  I started preparations for tonights supper since Susan and Jaoob are coming down fore supper here.  It will be a meatless meal since Susan does n

SUNDAY:   I picked Jan up in order to take her to church this morning.  Church was PACKED and Pastor Craig gave a great sermon.  This happened on Sunday the 24th (Jonathon picking up Pastor Craig and carrying him down off of the stage) but this photograph may be relative to next Sundays sermon.     After church Lori and I firmed up our plans for tomorrow evening.  We will meet at five thirty at the Mexican restaurant on the Transit and then come to my house to play a game or two.  I finished up the deep dish pizza from Little Caesers for my lunch.   Gail, Marty and Andrew brought over a brand new small refrigerator, which they took upstairs for Ben, Susan and Jacob to use while they are staying here.  I had a nap and then worked on my Life Group homework.  MONDAY:  I puttered around and finished cleaning and straightening my refrigerator.  I went to the Y for my WALK WITH EASE class, then came home and rested before meeting Lori at AQUAGATES the Mexican restaurant on Transit.  I treat

SUNDAY:  I decided to go to TOPS before going to church, hoping to get some IRISH SODA BREAD.  They had it (right inside the front door) so I got it, and a couple of other items. Church was excellent, the sermon was about HELL!!!   After church I took my groceries home and put the garbage out and changed into jeans before meeting up with Glenda, Elaine and Betty at LaPorts.  They all had corned beef and cabbage, but I had the turkey dinner.  I brought most of it home.  Pam called and wanted me to go to a musical event at a church, but I really wanted to spend the rest of the day at home.  I had a nap.  I scanned some of Peggy's NURSING HOME MINISTRY at Mt. View into her flickr account.  I found a movie: I ACCUSED, based on a true story.     MONDAY:  I had my chiropractic appointment this morning.  I did some jobs around the house until it was time to go to the Y for my class.  It went very well.  I stopped at THE DOLLAR TREE to get some cookie mixes.  I spent the rest of the day

SUNDAY the 10th   In the morning while I was getting ready for church, I finished the final episode of the second season of THE GILDED AGE.   I picked Jan up and we went to Freedom Church.  We sat with Glenda and Marlene.  Betty did not show up.  I am starting to be concerned about her, she is not very interested in going to church or Tuesday morning Life Group anymore.  After church, Marlene, Glenda, Jan and I went to THE OLIVE LEAF for lunch.  I had a BLT with sweet potato fries.  When our server was delivering our food to our table, half of my BLT slid off of the plate and fell apart.  She took the whole sandwich back to the kitchen and they made me a fresh one.  The rest of our lunch was uneventful.  After finding a mailbox so Jan could mail a few letters, I dropped her off.   MONDAY the 11th:  I spent the morning at home, doing laundry and changing my sheets, and attempting to cancel my subscription to the DAILY WIRE before they charge my credit card.  This was impossible, so I c

SUNDAY the 3rd:  Church was very good this morning.  The sanctuary was FULL, very full.  When it was over, Peggy asked for a ride home.  I suggested to her that instead of having our meal together at my house at six p.m. that we could have it earlier in about an hour.  She called David and he agreed.  So, when I got home, I put the meatloaf in the oven and started the other items.  The meal consisted of meat loaf with a tomato-based sauce to put over it, yellow (saffron) rice, cold pea salad and butter bean salad, and garlic toast.  We had coconut cream pie for dessert.  Everything was delicious.  They stayed a while after the meal, and we talked.  Also, they were talking about going to WalMart to look for a DVD player and I suggested that they take the one from my living room.  It has not been hooked up for years, since I hooked up the ROKU television.   They took it, and I am hoping it works for them.  After they left, I cleaned up the kitchen and started the dishwasher, and laid do
