SUNDAY the 27th:   Before going to church, I went to the First Presbyterian Church for the Deacon's Basket Raffle.  I only saw a couple of items that I could use or that I liked but I purchased twenty dollars worth of tickets anyways.  Church was good.  After church, Glenda, Marlene and I went to APPLEBEE's for lunch.  I had a burger and fries, which came with a huge salad.  It was very good.  I took half of the salad home.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  In the early evening, I figured out how to add contacts to my new phone and texted Pam, just to make sure I know how to use that feature.  I worked on my flickr account and I started watching THE MARLOW MURDER CLUB on PBS.  MONDAY:  I went to my eye appointment with Dr. Fetterman.  It went well, no problems and no issues with glaucoma or retinal detachment.  New prescription with slight changes.  Then I went to the Y to meet up with Pam.  ...

SUNDAY the 20th:    First thing after getting up, I threw together the ingredients for custard and put it in the oven.  It was in the frig before I left for church.  Church was great.  We honored Pastor Craig with a video and a huge card which was available for all of us to sign, because October is PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH.  Betty did not come to church so Donna took her seat.  After church, I came home and had a very light lunch.  Then I took a nap.  Shortly after I woke up, I headed over to Peggy and David's house with red velvet cookies and baked custard and cheesy muffins.   David had prepared roast chicken, stuffing and gravy.  Peggy had prepared acorn squash. Everything was very good.  After supper, we watched the first episode of the series 24 and then two episodes of TINY HOUSE.  Then I headed home, (with leftovers) arriving about 7:30.  Mike had left a message asking if I was planning on going to ...

SUNDAY:  Church was VERY good this morning.  I was trying to save seats for Elizabeth and Marlene, but Elizabeth did not come to church and Marlene was late and someone else took the spot I was saving. There was a bake sale put on by the youth in the lobby after church, but the lines were long and it was so crowded that I didn't even really look at what was offered.  After church, Marlene, Sue Rouse, Glenda and I went to LaPort's for lunch.  We all had the turkey dinner.  It was SO MUCH FOOD, and each one of us took food home with us.  On the way out, we ran into Wayne and Sharon Dent, and I recommended the turkey dinner to them.  I walked with Marlene over to the bank where I had parked.  She has a new car!!!  She said there is a story connected with her getting it.  When I got home, I immediately got into warm pajamas since it is so damp and cold outside.  I put a podcast by Victor Davis Hanson on SPOTIFY on tv and laid down...

MONDAY:   I met up with Jan at the Y, and then went to my appt with Dr. Chubineh, then I had a quick lunch at McDonalds, went to Citizens Bank to deposit a check and them to WalGreens where I met up with Karen, a volunteer from HEARTS and HANDS.  She drove me to my ENT appointment in Williamsville.  I was pretty much released from returning, but can call if I have any problems and want to be seen.  I enjoyed getting to know Karen, she has been battling cancer for the last year and a half and has had surgery and chemo and radiation.  Still, she has the energy to help others.  I spent the rest of the day at home, resting and putting away stuff from the Allegany trip.  I still have a bit to do.  I called Maggie in the evening to remind her of tomorrow's Life Group since she said she wanted to go to it.  I left a voice mail, but she did not get back to me. TUESDAY:  I went to the TUESDAY MORNING LADIES LIFE GROUP.  There were...
