SUNDAY: Before church, I went to Panera and got a drink and then to CITIZENS to get some cash out of the ATM.  It said my card was not valid so I was unable to get any cash.   After church, there was a Seniors (CONNECT) event:  lunch at the Parkside Diner which is not really a diner, it is more like a drive in type place.  There were 26 or 27 people there. I had the chicken sandwich, which was very good.  Part of the plan for the event was to go next door to HALF BAKED for ice cream, but I don't think anybody went. I stopped at NorthWest to try to get some cash.  I was not sure of my password, so I tried two different ones, but neither one of them worked.  At home, I took a nap and then I talked with Peggy on the phone, fiming up plans for tomorrow when we will go to Shirley Hazel's funeral.  Peggy will be doing the funeral, so we are leaving early. We may or may not go to the meal afterwards.  I worked a little bit on sorting and ...

Week of Sunday, June 15th through Saturday June 21, 2025 and what Christa said about unwanted people (new recipe for chicken thighs in oven, very good)

Christa typed this in FB private message:      I would like unwanted children, babies, adults, however you look at them.. i choose for the unwanted to be eliminated, yes. How dare a person bring an unwanted person into the world. How dare you.  SUNDAY:  Church was very good today.  We were able to move up one row and Louise and Maggie joined us, Betty and Jan were not in church today.  It was Fathers Day Sunday and Pastor Craig worked that into his sermon.  There was a WALL OF TOOLS AND DONUTS in the lobby so that the Dads could have donuts and each dad was also given a gift.  After, Marlene, Glenda, Andrea, Louise and I went to THE OLIVE LEAF for lunch.  I had a chicken souvlaki on pita bread (recommended by Glenda) and I ordered a salad to take home with me.  Before going home, I stopped at Panera's and got a large iced tea.  I took an afternoon nap and then I spent some time going through the several junk drawers in the lar...

SUNDAY THE 8th:  I almost decided to stay home from church this morning because I did not feel all that good, but as time went by, I decided I felt good enough to go, so I did.  After I had been there several minutes, I realized that I felt fine.  At Betty's request, we moved to a row much closer to the front.  Peggy said she had seen Marlene in church, but I watched for her and did not see her.  Lori had said she would be in church and would be able to go out for lunch, but I did not see her.  So, Betty, Glenda and Dee McDonnell went to LaPorts for lunch. I had the liver and onions and brought some of it home with me. After that, I got gas and picked up some pork ribs at Niagara Produce for tomorrows supper when Leslie will be here.  I did a few things at home, and then took a brief nap, and then called Leslie to confirm that everything is on track for her to leave Auburn and drive to Lockport tomorrow.  She will leave mid morning and proba...
