SUNDAY DECEMBER 14th through SATURDAY December 20, 2025
SUNDAY: I was getting ready for church when Andrea texted me and asked if I wanted to go to the WURLITZER BUILDING in North Tonawanda for a Christmas Market. I told her Lori and I were planning on going out to lunch after church, and she said Lori could come, too. I texted Lori and she said she wanted to go. I was going to ask Jan but she did not come to church, so I figure she does not feel well.
After church, we headed to North Tonawanda. We decided to stop for lunch at the TIM HORTONS near the Wurlitzer Building. We had sandwiches and ate inside. Then we went to the Wurlitzer Building. It was FIVE DOLLARS entrance fee, but they gave the three of us the family rate of ten dollars, which I paid. We all enjoyed the craft show. Andrea purchased several items. Lori bought a couple of things and I purchased a mix to make DILL DIP. We decided to check out the "chocolate" side of the building. Lori wanted a drink and Andrea was thinking of getting something. I said I did not want anything but when I saw someone with an ice cream cone (and I already knew that they have really good custard) I changed my mind. Andrea and I both got a small twist cone (but in a dish since they were very large). We found a table and enjoyed our treats. While we were at the table, Santa Clause was packing up to leave. When he was leaving and saw me with my camera, he stopped for a moment so I could get a good shot. It was a nice afternoon.
I rested for a while on the couch shortly after I got home. Leslie called in the early evening. I worked on my flickr account some. I made DILL DIP using the spice mix I purchased at the craft fair this afternoon. I also talked with Elaine on the phone regarding tomorrow when I will drive her to PT.

MONDAY: First thing in the morning, I called Glenda to see how she is doing. She said that all of a sudden yesterday she started to feel better. It is a few days short of a full month ago that she got sick which was also two days after she got a flu shot. I called Jan, too, since she was not in church yesterday. She is not feeling all that well. Her asthma acts up in cold air, and it has been very cold out. I started to make fruitcake using Kay Nenni's recipe. The phone always rings when I am baking. Peg called because she did not see me in church yesterday. I told her I was there and that I saw her. Then Elaine called. She is feeling achy and cancelled her early afternoon PT appointment today, the one I was going to take her to.
The last of the fruitcake is in the oven and I sat dow? n to do this and listen to Christmas music on youtube. I heard my trash cans being pulled to behind my house, so I went out to tell Mary THANK YOU. I was so hoping she would do this (she almost alwas does). But, it was her husband Eric who I yelled THANK YOU to.
I called the Customer Service number for DERILLA since I had an email stating that my pillow would arrive on the twelfth which was three days ago, and I have not received it yet. Apparently, it is in New York City OR in transit.
I had fruitcake and crackers with dill dip for my lunch. I had a nap and talked with Elaine on the phone. She has an appointment tomorrow at noon, so I will pick her up at noon. I would like to stop at PANERA'S for their bakers dozen special on bagels.
TUESDAY: I took Elaine to PT and we stopped at Paneras (for bagels) and at Wendys (for chicken tenders) and at her bank so she could get some cash. I had planned on going to an event with Lori, at a church in Williamsville, but I did not feel all that well. I had developed a tiny headache, and then tap, and dthen tried to nap, hoing it would go away, but I could not fall asleep and the headache persisted, so I decided it would be best for me not to go.
WEDNESDAY: MOVERS and MAKERS in the morning. Then I went to Aldi to get a few items.
THURSDAY: I met up with Andrea and Tracy at the Y and joined them in Andrea's car. We dropped Tracy off at her docs office and then went to Andrea's appointment at the place she ws referred to regarding hearing aids. I was her "companion" since they had requested that she bring a friend with her. After picking Tracy up, we went to FIREHOUSE SUBS for lunch. I had an ITALIAN SUB, toasted and it was really good. We also went to PAULA's DONUTS. ANdrea and I decided to NOT go to the Y when we got back to Lockport. That had been our original plan, to walk the track. When I got home, I opened a letter from Social Security telling me that they would be taking $44 out of my monthly check to pay my health insurance premium. I waited on hold for over an hour before someone from SS answered. She did not know what the issue was and suggested tht I call UNITED. I decided to call the Barrets instead since I purchased the new Medicare Advantage Plan from. I found out later on that he had signed me up for a dental rider. He said he can get it off.
FRIDAY: I met up with Andrea at BIG LOTS this morning a couple of minutes after eight a.m. There were a lot of others there waiting for the bus to arrive. It arrived a few minutes later. It did not seem to take long to get to KLEINHANS. Betty got off of the bus to get our tickets and then we got off and she handed them out. After using the restroom, we got in line to get donuts and coffee or tea. After that we entered the auditorium and found our seats. They were doing trivia questions on a screen while the members of the orchestra got ready to perform. The show was wonderful. Taking photogaphs was not allowed but I found this online.
