SATURDAY, December 21st through SATURDAY December 27th, 2025

SATURDAY the 21st: When I woke up feeling lousy, I decided to try to make an appointment at WELLCARE, the local urgent care center on Transit. I made an appointment for one forty. I made CHEx MIX in the morning. I left early for my appointment and went to PANERA for a drink. There was a long line of people waiting to order so after a while, I grabbed a large cup and and got a drink at the self serve spot. Then I went to WELLCARE, where I had to wait a long time before going in. I was praying that I would not get the same male nurse that Andrea had, the one who does not touch or go near the patient. Anyways, the female PA said I have a sinus infection and called in a script to WalGreens. I figured it would not be ready for a while, and when I drove by Walgreens I saw about six cars waiting in the drive through lane. I texted Peg to tell her that I will not be in church tomorrow, and she called and asked me if I needed anything. She agreed to pick my antibiotic up. It was not long before she dropped it off. I gave her another batch of CHEX Mix and some fruitcake. I fell asleep on the couch for a couple of hours very late in the day. Therefore, I was up until well after midnight. SUNDAY the 21st: I got a lot of sleep last night and woke up a few minutes before nine a.m). I got up and took my antibiotic and then got back in bed. I watched the church service in bed!!! I got up at noon in order to have lunch. I mostly rested and relaxed today, watching a couple of movies and reading a bit. I showered and washed my hair in the afternoon. MONDAY the 22nd: I had my appointment with my eye doctor this morning and he said my eyes are doing fine, there are no signs of problems. I have a new prescription and went to Davison Road Optical and ordered a new pair of glasses. Then I went to Walmart and got some Claritin (recommended by the PA at Urgent Care) and a few groceries. When I got home, my package had arrived. MY DERILA PILLOW. TUESDAY the 23rd: I had a battle with diarrhea this morning. I spent the day at home except for going out to get some KEFIR. I was thankful that they had it at Aldi and Aldi was not very crowded. I was only gone from the house about 35 or maybe 40 minutes. WEDNESDAY the 24th: I spent the day at home until it was time to go to FREEDOM CHURCH for one of the CHristmas Eve services at three p.m. I met up with Lori there. We went to Applebees for supper after the service. Shortly after I got home, Dee McDonnell called and gave me her new phone number and I paassed it on to Peggy and Lori. THURSDAY December 25th: CHRISTMAS DaY 2025 Peggy called kind of early and we firmed up plans to go to MANDARIN in Niagara Falls, Ontario later on. they arrived a couple of minutes before one thirty, and we took my car. We didn't have any difficulty finding Mandarin, and after a couple of minutes wait, we were seated. The place was very crowded. David really enjoyed the creme de brulee (he had either six or seven). Peggy loved the pecan pie. I really liked the salmon and the small portions of several deserts. I hope to go again soon on a day when it is not so crowded. We checked out a couple of homes in the north end that are well decorated and lit up for Christmas. When I got home, I called christa and we talked for a few minutes. I called Megan and left a message and she got back to me a few minutes later. I talked to both Megan an Tyler. FRIDAY the 26th I decided to stay home today instead of going to Peg and Davids house for the BRUNCH that david provides for his family every year. The weather forecast was for very poor road conditions. SATURDAY December 27th: I spent the day at home, I still do not feel like I am over this illness. Or maybe it is the antibiotic which is pulling me down. I don't feel awful, but I just do not feel great. I have NO energy. I opened up my Derilla Pillow and also opened up the mail from the last two days and that is about all I accomplished today. In the evening, I watched a strange movie MY ZOE.
