SUNDAY December 28th, 2025 through SATURDAY January 3rd, 2026

SUNDAY December 28th: I spent the entire day at home. I did not do much of anything. Andrea messaged me that she is still not feeling great, her cough has returned and she said she would not be going to church. Later on, Lori messaged me saying that there were hardly any people in church. Peggy called and we talked for a few minutes. They went to a TITANIC EXHIBIT in Schenectedy. She told me that HIGH WINDS are expected tomorrow afternoon here in Lockport. The only time I stepped out my front door was to take my trash and collectibles to the street. MONDAY: I got out of bed close to eight a.m. to find that both my trash and collectibles containers were tipped over. The trash truck was closeby and the guy turned my trash can upright and dumped it in the truck. I quickly got my boots and coat on and went out and took my collectible container out behind the house, there is plenty of room for the next two weeks, and then I started picking up the stuff that had blown out of other peoples collectible containers and putting it into my trash can. I don't think any of what I picked up originally belonged to me, but I guess it does now. I picked up a few items from Mr. Whalens yard and from the yard across the street. Then I decided I should take a shower and go run some errands. WalGreens had a long line at the drive through so I went to the library and returned some books and picked up two books. Then I went to Niagara Produce and got a ribeye steak for New Years Eve and then I went to PANERA for a drink and lunch. On the way back I noticed that WalGreens drive through line was very short, so I got in it and pcked up my Restasis (part of it anyways). When I got home, I noticed that one of the windows on the front porch had blown off. It is the one that David was fooling with the other day. TUESDAY the 30th: First thing today I got a text from Dr. Nik about tomorrows MOVERS AND MAKERS. He and Sara are away but Denise will be there for a short session. Peggy and Andrea are not going to go, so I think I will also skip it. Its not really worth getting up really early in the morning just for an hour or less of EXERGAMING. Besides I want to do some food prep for tomorrow night (New Years Eve). I want to make one more batch of CHEX MIX, some muffins and a chocolate cream pie. I took my last dose of the antibiotic. WEDNESDAY: I made the pie, muffins and a batch of Chex Mix in the morning, then had a light lunch. I got the car out of the garage and then laid down for a while. Possibly, I dozed off for a few minutes. I got up around four and left for Peggy and Davids house at about 4:20, I think. I am feeling better today, even though my head is still a bit stuffed and I have to blow my nose more than usual. I have very little energy and as soon as I got to Peggys house, I told her I did not feel like doing anything and I turned their tv on. After supper, I opened up ANGEL STUDIOS and showed David the two movies I had not yet watched. We chose TRUTH OR TREASON since they had already seen EScAPE FROM GERMANY. It is a very good movie. I got home before ten p.m. The drive home was a bit scary. It was snowing and blowing in spots with very little visibility. THURSDAY: NEW YEARS DAY, it is now 2026. I slept well last night. I spent the day at home. I put most of my Christmas decorations away. I prepared myself a nice New Years Day dinner: fried cabbage and onions, Polish sausage that Peggy gave me last evening, beans and garlic toast (using the pizza bread that I bought at the community market a couple of weeks ago). I had a very nice nap in the afternoon. I called Cassandra in the early evening and we talked for a bit. I found the movie HAZEL'S HEART on Angel Studios in the evening. FRIDAY the 2nd: After I figured out that today was Friday not Saturday, I decided to run a few errands. first, I went to the PANERA'S and got a drink. Then I went to the Y and renewed my membership for 2026, by presenting my new insurance card. I ran into Fran Wery and we visited for a few minutes. Then I wenet to the DOLLAR TREE and picked up some items I needed and then I picked up a lunch special at Lil Caesers. Then I went to Walgreens to give them y new insurance information and pick up two prescriptions and make sure that my Viberzi was ordered. i had magazines and food, as I was prepared to wait in the drive through line for a while, but I really did not have to. Then I went to Niagara Produce. I was hoping that they had some lactose free cottage cheese (they had it a month ago or so), but they didn't. I am feeling pretty good today! Peggy and David came over so that David could put one of the windows on the front porch back in. It blew out earlier this week when we had those high winds. It was laying in one of my flowerbeds under snow, so I had to bring it inside and clean it off. It only took him a few minutes. I moved my record player from the family room to the living room, just for a change, and also I really need to clean behind and under the table that it has been sitting on since I moved here in 2014. SATURDAY the 3rd of january I did not sleep well last night. In the morning, I continued working on cleaning, straightening up and orgnizing. When I checked FB, I learned that President Trump ordered a capture of the president of Venezuela and his wife. I am watching the press conference to start now.
