WEEK of January 26th through February 2nd, 2026

SUNDAY: Shortly after I got up, I noticed hat it was snowing outside. I decided it would be best to stay home from church because there is a prediction of a storm for today and tomorrow. I figured I would watch it online and using the extra time I would have used to get ready and drive to church for a couple of small tasks that I have put off. I accomplished those. A couple of minutes before 10:45, I found the service on YOUTUBE. By this time Peg had texted me to say that our speaker, Josh Lynn, was stuck in Dallas, since his flight was cancelled. He made a video last night and send it to Pastor Craig and it was shown during the service. 00 After the video, Pastor Craig answered questions. What is Zionism? Plus a second video that is also being shown in over 6oo other churches.

SUNDAY: Church was very good. Unfortunately, Glenda slipped on ice in the parking lot and fell. When I got to my seat, she was holding an ice pack on her knee. After church we gathered to pray for her, along with two elders. A couple of the ladies asked about going to lunch but I said I did not think we should since the heavy snow predicted was supposed to start at one p.m. It was not snowing at all when I left church. I decided to get some take out food for lunch. I got a meal at KFC and a drink at Paneras. After lunch I took a nap. I called Linda Porter in the early evening. She is doing well. We prayed together for her sister Elaine, and her alcoholic son Alan, and Melanie (her daughter who will not speak to her). I also called Glenda to see how she is doing. She has sone pain in her knee and her daughter suggested that she use a walker for a few days. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________...

SUNDAY the 11th of January: Church was very good. After, Marlene, Linda, Glends, Carol and I went to lunch at Applebees. I ordered the chicken sandwich special but I neglected to ask for grilled rather than "crispy" chicken so my meal was not as good as it usually is. I had broccoli instead of french fries. Before our meals came, Linda, Marlene and I figured out some problems on our cell phones. Linda and I had been unable to text each other because she had my cell and home phone in the wrong spot. Marlene just needed to update numbers. I spent the rest of the day at home. I worked on homework for Tuesday morning Bible study, took a nap, then read the first chapter of Hebrews and Ezekiel and then watched a video of the first chapter of Ezekiel. Then I found some 1970s worship music on youtube. I spent the evening watching PBS. First, the start of a new season of MISS SCARLET, then the first episode of Season Six of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, and then Season O...

SUNDAY: I watched MEET THE PRESS this morning before leaving for church because I was inerested in what might be said by both sides regarding the Trump administrations arresting the leader of Venezuela and his wife. Church was good. When it was over, five of us (me, Marlene, Lori, Glenda and Carol) went to the OLIVE LEAF for lunch. I had a burger and seet potato fries, and then I went to PANERA and got a drink. When I got home, I took my trash out to the street and shoveled a path down the middle of the sidewalk. I decided that I should let Bonnie McDermott Olscamp that Barb had passed away, since Barb, Bonnie, Chicky and I were friends in junior high school. However, a little bit of research led me to find out that Bonnie passed away in December of 2024. I called Elaine to tell her about both deaths. She knew both Barb and Bonnie. I found the movie TELLING LIES IN AMERICA on Pluto TV. I found a sympathy card and also a picture of Barb and I taken several years ago, and got t...
