Week of Sunday, February 8th through Saturday February 14th, 2026

SUNDAY:   Church was very good this morning.  Jan, Andrea and Glenda did not make it to church.  Before church started, Marlene told me that her daughter Christiana's male friend (Alex) has returned down south.  Just as church was ending, I went down to the kitchen to help Peggy set up for the CONNECT event.  I was in charge of the BASKET RAFFLE.  Unfortunately, not many of the attendees were interested in it.  After the meal and raffle, Peggy started the craft project.  It was mod podging flowers, leaves and butterflies onto a glass jar.  When I got home, I struggled the bins out to the road.  With all of the snow, this was not all that easy.  I spent the rest of the day at home, resting and watching television.

MONDAY:  I wrapped up a few things that involved phone calls in the morning. I called SPECTRUM and complained about my bill going up ten dollars.  They took it down to five dollars increase. I called UNITED to find out if any of my medical conditions are considered "chronic" which is necessary for me to stay on the plan I chose.  TOYOTA about the notice I got in the mail, and was told they took care of it last time I was in.  I went on MY CHART and sent a message to my primary to PLEASE fill out and return the form UNITED sent to them which will validate my "chronic" illness or condition.  When I went out to bring my bins back to behind the house, I found that someone (either Mary or Eric) had already done so.  I worked on my homework for tomorrows Bible study.  I took a nap.

TUESDAY:  I was waiting for Pam to call me to tell me she was at HOUSEL'S (where she dropped off her car for a repair) but when she did not call, I left my house.  She was ready and waiting for me.  We first went to the hospital where I dropped off a document for my primary doctor.  Then we went to PANERA where I got a drink and Pam got coffee and a treat.  Life Group went very well and then eight of us went to The Village Eatery for lunch  I had the Black and Blue Salad, which was one of the specials.  The black part was blackened salmon and the blue part was for the blueberries and blackberries.  It was a delicious salad and came with two pieces of garlic toast.  Then I went to the Dale Association in order to give blood.  It went smoothly.  I started a load of laundry and had a nice nap when I got home.

WEDNESDAY:   Movers and Makers was fun this morning.  Especially the Makers part, we made Valentines cards.  As soon as it was over, Andrea, Lori and I headed to Barker Seniors.  We were a bit late for the presentation by the Barker police.  The meal was only mediocre today.

THURSDAY:  first thing today I went to the library to return a book and pick one up, then I went to the hospital and dropped off another copy of the document that UNITED needs filled out.  Then I got a drink at PANERA, and then I went to the Y, where I took a Silver Sneakers class.  After it was over, I ran into Julie and I talked with her a while.  Then I met up with Peggy and we headed to the REGAL TRANSIT where we saw the movie MELANIA.  It was really, really good.  We stopped at ALDI and we each got groceries, and then she dropped me off at the Y.  I stopped at LIL CAESERS and picked up one of their new specials.  Two slices of pizza and four BREADSTICK and sauce.  I ate half of that when I got home since I had skipped lunch in order to go to the movie.  I spent the rest of the day at home.

FRIDAY:  I was planning on not going out today, but when I opened my email I found one from the hospital, saying they need  a signature on the form for  UNITED, so I went there and took care of it, and I also went to Niagara Produce to get some cider.  I spent the rest of the day at home, relaxing, doing laundry, etc.  In the early evening it started snowing so I put my car in the garage and pulled my trash can up to the front porch.  Itexted with Andrea in order to finalize plans for tomorrow when she, Lori and I will go to the coffee house/lasagna dinner at the church in Middleport, NY.

SATURDAY the 14th.  I spent a good portion of the day at home.  I showered and washed my hair, put laundry away, vacuumed and tried to make Yorkshire Puddings.  I say "tried" because they failed AGAIN.  I made them a few times years ago and was successful but recently my attempts have been unsuccessful.  I met up with Lori and Andrea at Andrea's place and we all went to the VALENTINES DAY COFFEE HOUSE at a church in Middleport.  There was a lasagna dinner, a meat raffle, and a pie auction and live entertainment (Leather and Lace).  We had a good time.  It lasted close to an hour longer than was planned.  I had purchased five dollars worth of tickets for the meat raffle, but did not win anything.  Karen and Frank were there, Betty and Elaine were there, and Becky.
