Sunday, June 7th through Saturday June 13th, 2026 and Frozen Cherry Salad
SUNDAY: Church was not too terribly crowded this morning. After it was over, a few of us went to SUNNY'S for lunch. Glenda, Vicky, Peggy and Becky and Chuck (I have forgotten their last name), who sit behind Glenda in church. Vicky and I each had a slice of pizza which was mediocre at best. The sandwiches that Peggy, Chuck and Becky had looked good, and I will try one of them the next time. Glenda had the chicken fingers which she said were good. She wanted to go to JoJo's for ice cream after lunch so Vicky and I joined her. I had a hot fudge sundae with dairy free cherry ice cream, and it was very good.
I spent the rest of the day at home. I packed up my vests since I won't need them until next fall or early winter. I ran the dishwasher. I watched the MEET THE PRESS interview of President Trump this morning.
MONDAY: I cleaned a few corners in my bathroom. Then I went to DOLLAR TREE to get a gift bag and a card for Tyler's birthday which is coming up. Then I went to PANERA and got a drink, and then I went to my chiropractic appointment, and then I went home for a bit. I panicked when I thought I somehow lost one of my credit cards and one of my bank cards (Northwest Bank). I had accidentally dropped them in my car in front of the passenger seat. I had lunch and then went to my endocrinology appointment (Dr. Shin) at the hospital. It went very well. I went home after that and worked on laundry and dishes and testing my CD's to make sure they work. I boxed most of them up.
TUESDAY: I went to Life Group, which was very good, and then a bunch of us went to CUSIMANO'S for lunch. I had an assorted American sub, which was good, and I also had a piece of Carol's vegetable stromboli which was also good. I then went to PANERA for a drink. I am very disappointed that they are still OUT of Pomegranete Hibiscus Tea. When I got home, I finished scrubbing the tub, and it looks pretty good. I took a nap. When I got up, I boxed up the pink lava like lamp for Cassy and since there was extra room in the box, I put in some other small objects. I straightened my car out since I will be driving to Barker Seniors tomorrow morning, with Vicki and Lori. Andrea called and she told me about her trip to Pennsylvania to see her friend Nancy.
FROZEN CHERRY SALAD

- 1 can comstock cherry pie filling
- 1 can condensed eagle brand milk
- One large carton of Cool Whip
- Mix all ingredients together and freeze. Can add nuts, coconut
- WEDNESDAY: Lori and Andrea both cancelled going to Barker this morning. I drive Vicki and myself. Lunch was breakfast casserole again, the same thing we had at the last meeting. Karen, Vicki and I did the exercise class with Sandy. The program was a representative from the LIONS CLUB. Vicki and I left before the meeting. When I got home, I mopped the bathroom floor as well as the kitchen floor, then I took a nap. When I got up, I started on the floor in the dining area. I completed all the floors.
- THURSDAY: I met up with Carrie and Zoe at EXCELSIOR ORTHOPEDICS on the Niagara Falls Boulevard. The appointment went well, and she does not have to wear the brace anymore. After that, I returned to Lockport and went to WalMart to grocery shop. I picked up a small sub, two cookies and a drink at SUBWAY in WalMart and I also went to PANERA and got a drink. I spent the rest of the day at home. I vacuumed the living room and swept the front porch. I rested for a while on the couch, but since I had a Dr Pepper, I could not fall asleep. I went to the ALLIANCE CHURCH at about four thirty for the chicken dinner and basket raffle. I said with Jan and Lori, Vicki and Louise and Paula Huntington and the other Paula whose last name I cannot recall. She is the daughter of Arlene who goes to Barker Seniors. Peggy asked for someone at our table to help her and I volunteered. Before she started drawing names, I loosened up the tops of the containers that people had deposited their tickets in. I won a fifty dollar certificate for the VILLAGE EATERY. Fifty dollars is exactly what I spent on tickets. Here are the pictures I took. Peggy drawing tickets and announcing the winning numbers.
My ticket stub.
Information about the upcoming banquet.
My winning ticket and the gift certificate I won.
Lori won a basket.
Andrea won two items: a three tiered serving dish with candy and Tupperware canisters.
Paula won a basket.
When I got home, I got all the ingredients ready for oatmeal raisin cookies and boiled eggs for egg salad. In the morning I will work on the cookies and make egg salad, etc. - FRIDAY: first thing today I made Oatmeal Raisin cookies, which turned out great. Then I continued cooking and baking for supper tonight. Megan arrived around three p.m. I think. Peggy and David arrived around 5:20 p.m We had lasagna, carrots, salad, garlic toast and strawberry spoon cake for dessert and had a nice visit. We agreed to go to Letchworth tomorrow and invited Jan to come along. It will be four of us, Megan, me, Peg and Jan. I will pack a picnic lunch. .
- SATURDAY, June 13th, Peggy arrived at 9:45 and we picked Jan up at ten a.m. We used my car and Megan and Peggy split the driving. Megan and Jan had become friends on Facebook, and wanted to meet. Here is a picture of Jan with Peg.
I think this is my favorite picture, showing the railroad bridge and one of the waterfalls. - We were in the park for four hours. We had a nice picnic lunch that I provided. Our last stop in the park was at the dam.
- On the way back to Lockport, we stopped at OLIVER'S CANDIES in Batavia. I made one small purchase, a chocolate disk with raisins in it.
Jan purchased a few items.
I love the murals on the fence at Oliver's.
Between Batavia and Lockport, Megan suggested that we go to REID's for supper. Peg called David to see if he wanted to join us or if he would like for her to bring him something. Jan did not want to join us, so we dropped her off first. Peggy treated Megan and I at Reid's and we ate outside. I had a white hot and fried with sauce. Megan wanted a T-shirt or sweatshirt from Reids so I gave her twenty dollars. They did not have the right size sweatshirt, so she got a t-shirt.- After I put the picnic stuff away, Megan and I watched a true crime docudrama (Maternal Instinct) on Netflix, about a wwho killed a pregnant woman (who was a friend of hers) and took her baby out. The baby died, too.
