Week Starting with Sunday, October 11, 2026
SUNDAY: I am feeling much better, but I decided to stay home from church. I watched the service online, casting it from my laptop to my ROKU TV. I made banana pancakes for my breakfast.
MONDAY: The meds I took last night did not help me sleep as much as they did the two previous nights. In the late morning I got hungry for a tuna sandwich, but I do not have any bread. So, I decided on a tuna/macaroni salad, so I started making that.
TUESDAY: I felt pretty good this morning when I got up, so I decided to go to Life Group. I was feeling kind of lousy shortly after it started, but gradually I felt better. A bunch of us went out to lunch at THE OLIVE LEAF. I stopped at Dollar Tree and Aldi before going home, in order to get some stuff I needed. I really needed a nap when I got home. When I got up, I went to Walgreens to pick up my Viberzi. Then I worked outside for but fifteen minutes raking up yard stuff and depositing it in a trash can.
WEDNESDAY: Lori, VIcki, Andrea and I met up at my house at nine thirty and Andrea drove us all to Barker Seniors. We had our catered OCTOBERFEST LUNCH, German food which was very good. We had live music, Ted Szymanski, who played traditional German and Polish music on his accordian and sane along.
He was very good. Lori won the 20/20 which was twenty dollars!!! I got home a little before two p.m. and after responding to a couple of phone messages, I laid down on my bed to rest until about 3:15 when I got up and went to Elaine's house. She drove us to the church in Cambria where we picked up soup and deserts to take out. It was so nice outside, so I suggested to Elaine that we take a short drive to see what fall color is available. We happened to drive by the North Ridge United Methodist Church at four thirty,
where they were offering a free community dinner at five p.m. We decided to go. We had a half hour to kill so we checked out the garlic store down the road, but it was closed. Elaine wanted to drive back towards Ransomville to see if a certain restaurant (Knead the Dough) was still up and running. It looks like it is, but it was closed. Then we returned to the church where we had a very nice macaroni and cheese supper, which came with a hot dog, tossed salad and desert.
I spent sixty dollars and didn't win anything. Andrea won several items, I think six. Linda won one or maybe two. We were given free pizza and cookies. This raffle was not as much fun as the one I went to with Andrea and Linda a while back at the fire hall in WrightCorners.
