After church, Marlene, Dee, Lori and I went to TACO BELL for lunch.  I ordered the five dollar box, but did not eat all of it.  Then we went to the REGAL to see the movie GOLDA.  It was the one day a year when they only charge four dollars admission all day, for all of the movies.  Marlene and I liked it, Dee fell asleep but Lori was disappointed in it.  The plan was for me to meet up with David and Peggy at their house after the movie, but when I arrived, they were not home yet from the movie they went to see JURASSIC PARK.  So I left a note asking them to call me when they got home.   As soon as I got home the phone rang and they were just leaving the theater and said I should come at five thirty. It was five p.m. then, so I laid down for a bit and rested until the phone rang again, and it was Cindi.  We discussed the Allegany trip.  Supper at Peggy's house was very good.  David prepared pasta and two sauces (red and Alfredo), meatballs and sausage, and Peggy prepared a salad.

SUNDAY the 20th:  Church was very good this morning.  After church, I picked up a sub at SUBWAY and had it for lunch, and then took a nap.  I returned to church at 4:30 p.m. to meet up with Betty, Maggie, and Elaine to see the movie SOUND OF FREEDOM.  Lori had cancelled due to something going on with her family.  Nancy came with Elaine.  Both Elaine and Maggie needed seats on the end, so our group split up.  I sat with Gail, across from Elaine and Nancy and behind Maggie.    I enjoyed the movie, even though it was my third time.   MONDAY the 21st:  in the morning, I firmed up my choice of outfits and jewelry to wear to Cassandra's wedding.  About the time I finished doing that, it was time to get ready to go to the cemeteries with my cousin, Judy.  She picked me up and we went first to St. Patrick's Cemetery to see Aunt Jeanette's grave and then to Glenwood to see my parents grave, her parents grave and our grandparents grave.  Judy never met them since Grandma died when sh

Monday the 14th:  I had an appointment in Williamsville, for some sort of test regarding my ears.  It took well over an hour.  After that, I went to the HOPE PROJECT.  I found that they are closing that location and looking for a new spot.  I had lunch at FIRE HOUSE SUBS and then went to PAULA'S DONUTS (both in the same strip mall now). When I got home, I retrieved a message from Peg, so I called her back.  She told me the very sad news about Myrna.  While at her appointment yesterday, when she had a blood transfusion, they found out that her kidneys are shutting down and she was given 24 to 48 hours to live.  She was admitted to SISTERS HOSPITAL.  Pastor Craig was going to see her this afternoon, and Peg will go tomorrow after her staff meeting.  I asked if I can go with her and she said yes.  We are hoping that Ron and Vicky call tonight and let Peggy know how she is doing.  I took a short nap in my recliner, leaving the phone on, in case Peg called.  She did not.  I worked more

August 10 through August 13th: Trip to Fair Haven and Renaissance Faire in Sterling

Thursday August 10th:  I started getting ready to leave for Fair Haven as soon as I got up, but I was not ready to go until ten thirty a.m. which is when I left.  But I stopped at Rite Aid to get charcoal and batteries for my GPS, so I left Lockport at eleven a.m.  I quickly got on the thruway at Pembroke and stayed on it until I got to Exit 41.  I must have stopped twice and I can't remember what I did for lunch.  After I got off at Exit 41, I drove north on 414 until I got to 104 which turned into 104a, which took me directly to Fair Haven and Screw Louies.  Cottage 3.   Leslie was already there.  She had her stuff in the small bedroom so I took the bed between the kitchen and that room.  I suggested to her that we go out and do some geocaching.   I asked her to drive, since I had had a much longer drive to Fair Haven than she had.  She agreed.  We went out and found few caches in Hannibal and Red Creek and then decided to find a restaurant.  We found THE COTTAGE INN in Red Cree

Sunday 8/6.  Church was very good this morning.  Once a year "The Eastmans" come to our church and they perform and one of them preaches and then they pray for people and often prophesize over them.  Since there were SO many people in church due to combining Freedom North and Freedom South services into one, the service was divided into two parts.  First the service with the Eastmans and then the prayer/prophecy service.  I left between the two services in order to go get Peggy a salad from Wendy's and meet up with the other seniors at the park across from Widewaters.  Peggy and David were pulling up at the shelter the same time I did.  We moved some of the picnic tables around and by that time other people started arriving.  Some of us brought packed lunches from home (I did), some stopped and purchased food at one of Lockports many fast food places and some purchased items from MARVINS at WIDEWATERS drive in just across the street.   We I think there were about twenty
