Week of Sunday October 26th through Saturday November 1st, 2025

SUNDAY:   Church was really good today, Pastor Craig gave a really good message.  Glenda, Carol and I had agreed to have lunch at THE VILLAGE EATERY after church, but at the end of the service, several other people wanted to join us.  It turned out that there were ten of us.  The only glitch was that when we got there, the VE was not open.  So, we decided to go right next door to the Davison Road Inn.   It was a few minutes before one p.m. so they were getting ready to close up the breakfast brunch.  We had a nice table for ten in the room with the brunch, and several televisions.  The table behind us had a few people who were very interested in the game. THE BUFFALO BILLS vs THE CAROLINA PANTHERS, I think the game took place in North Carolina.   The Bills were WAY ahead when we left, and DID win the game.

I stopped at Niagara Produce and bought an ACORN Squash.  I spent the restenof the day at home.  Andrea called and asked me if I want to go to hear her sons band in Medina on November 29th.  I agreed. She, Kelly and I will ride together.

MONDAY:  I forgot to do this entry on Monday the 27th.  I know I went out, but I am unsure of what I did while I was out.  In the evening, I met with a Medicare representative  and tentatively changed to UNITED HEALTHCARE, a program called C-Snip.  My primary has to approve it.  If I am approved, I will get fifty dollars in OTC items including nutritious food.  But I don't recall if it offers any financial help for chiropractors.

TUESDAY:  I went to the Ladies Life Group this morning.  It went very well.  Then six of us (me, Glenda, Carol G. Karen, Lori and someone else went to lunch at the Jamaican restaurant next to Dr. Pal's office.  The name of it is ISLAND VYBES.    It is run by one person, the owner, who is very nice.  She has to do everything.  We each had one of the ten dollar lunch specials.  Karen, Glenda and I had the JERK CHICKEN, which came with plantain,  cabbage and  WAY TOO MUCH rice.  It was pretty good and I give the food an eight out of ten or maybe a nine.  I don't really like getting my meal in a take out container.  I rested on the couch for a while, and I may have fallen asleep for a bit.  I started putting my OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD boxes.  I need to make some more purchases in order to fill them.

WEDNESDAY:  I went to the Y for the MOVERS and MAKERS group this morning.  We had our introduction to EXERGAMING.  Personally, I think it is kind of dumb, and also I am not very good at it! The second half of the group where we do an art project is a lot more interesting and fun!  I was anxious to get home because I had not slept all that well last night, but I decided to do a few thingds first.  Number one: going to Panera for a drink.  I noticed the bread slicer behind the counter and thought it would be a good idea to purchase a loaf of their bread, but when I heard the prices, I decided not to  I went to THE DOLLAR TREE and purchased more items to put in the boxes, and the to ALDI to get some items I need.  I forgot to get gas.  I dropped my laptop off at JBs for some repairs and a new battery installation.  I think they must have less business right now, since William said he would complete it late today or first thing tomorrow morning.  When I got home, I finished putting together one of the boxes (for a girl ages ten to fourteen) and washed dishes, etc. before taking a nap.  I didn't do much in the evening besides work on my entries for my last cruise in this blog.

THURSDAY:    I worked on my Operation Christmas Child boxes in the morning.  Cindi picked me up a little after eleven a.m. and we met Jent the Olive Garden that is by the Walden Galleria Mall in Cheektowaga.  Unfortunately, almost the first thing that happened was that Jen got mad at something Cindi said, and she blew up.  She was quite vitriolic. According to Jen, Cindi demands her own way every time she is with me.  (This is the second time there has been an issue)..  Cindi apologized, but very briefly, and Jen said she could forgive but not forget.  Things went back to normal pretty quickly, fortunately.  I spent the rest of the day at home.  I completed two more Operation Christmas Child boxes, and registered three of them online with Samaritans Purse and paid thirty dollars using my credit card.
