WEEK of SUNDAY, November 16th through SATURDAY, November 22, 2025

SUNDAY the 16th: Even though I didn't get out of bed until nine a.m., I left early enough (to go to church) to stop at Walgreens and pick up a prescription and also to go to Panera's for a drink. Even so, I had to wait, along with lots of other people) in the lobby while the first service finished up. The service was great! A bunch of us (Glenda, Carol, me, Peggy, Marlene, Louise and Linda) went to Applebee's for lunch. Normally, I get a grilled chicken sandwich but I was in the mood for a good burger. Then I went to WalMart to get a few items. MONDAY: I decided to check and see what might be in a small flat box sitting in front of my ROKU TV, and I am so glad I did. I found the missing MANITO;S gift card, which I was sure I had lost, a fifty dollar SUNOCO gas card, and a ninety nine dollar WMart card that was a reward from my WELLS FARGO CC company. I met up with Andrea at the Y and we walked about 35 minutes. I picked up a small sub at SUBWAY, using a coupon. I also stopped at WalGreens when I remembered that I forgot to get detergent at WalMart yesterday. I spent the rest of the day at home. I am still kind of wiped out from the trip. In the evening, I rolled some coins into little paper sleeves, so I can turn them into paper money at the bank. If I have time tomorrow morning, I will stop at NW Bank. I called Elaine and asked if she and Marsha would like for me to bring spaghetti dinners to them tomorrow night. TUESDAY: I stopped at NW Bank on my way to Life Group, but there were several people waiting and I did not have much time, so I was not able to cash in my coins. Life Group was very good. They were planning where to go for lunch when I left. I went to PANERA and got a drink and a bagel and then I stopped at the LOCKPORT TRAVEL CLUB (new location, the old YWCA) and picked up trip info., but I did not stay for the meeting. When I got home, I took a nap. Lori picked me up at four thirty and we went to SOLID ROCK for the spaghetti dinner. Erica Joan Wameski was there, but I did not have an opportunity to talk with her. Lori barely remembered her from the time we met her at the Newfane event, at the little village, a few years ago. I did not see Becky there. I picked up two dinners, for Elaine and her sister, and we dropped them off. I debated whether or not to ask Lori to come in and watch a movie, but I really did not feel like it. We will be going to the First English Lutheran Church Friday evening for their turkey dinner and I told her we can watch a movie at my place after that. I watched various items on youtube and then took a shower. WEDNESDAY: MOVERS AND MAKERS was very good this morning. Brenda brought oxtails and greens,
corn muffins and potato salad. Sarah brought a made from scratch cake. After EXERGAMING, Sarah gave us all the supplies so we could each make a book.
Here are a couple of pictures that I took while we were doing his art activity:
I brought some oxtail and a muffin and part of a piece of cake home. I took a few pictures. I got gas at HOUSEL'S (using the gift card I found) and also turned in coins at NW bank. Three rolls of dimes had at least one Canadian coin in it, so I have to redo those. When I got home, I started making four bean salad for tomorrow's turkey dinner at the Y. Then I took a nap. When I got up, I put a butternut squash and two potatoes in the oven and started a pot of chili. I had a bowl of chili over a baked potato for supper and it was VERY good. I have a lot of leftover chili. THURSDAY: I went to Panera's for a drink before going to the Y. I dropped my FOUR BEAN SALAD off in the room where they were setting up the buffet. Then I found a table in the gym and put my vest and my purse in strategic spots in order to save that table for me and my friends. Eventually, they all arrived. Jan, Peggy, David, Selma and Sabba, Deb and Andrea. Unfortunately, our table was the last one called, so we missed out on some of the extra but there was PLENTY of turkey and mashed potatoes left and I brought some home with me. All of my FOUR BEAN SALAD was taken, I hope it was all eaten, but I have no way of knowing. I was able to bring some turkey and some mashed potatoes home, as well as a piece of cake. When I got home, I took a nap. When I got up, it was time to get ready to go to the PALACE to meet up with Pam for LITTLE WOMEN. It was really good.
FRIDAY to bank re: coins, Walgreens and Panera, then to Y, ran into Louise and Vicky, walked a little over 30 minutes with Jan. returned home, took nap, started grocery list for Thanksgiving. (called Becky earlier and invited her). I met up with Lori at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH for their annual Thanksgiving dinner. I think the last time I went to this was in 2019 before COVID. There were not many people there for this particular dinner. The dinner was great, everything seemed to be homemade aexcept maybe the deserts. I was able to bring some stuffing and squash and pumpkin bread home. SATLURDAY: I went to the Lockport Community Farmers Market at the Dale Association this morning and picked up some coupons for produce, which I will have to use before December 31st. When I got home, I started to work on putting items that I have set out in my living room AWAY, so that I can decorate for Christmas. Peggy called to tell me about the gala last night. Also, we agreed on two thirty Thanksgiving Day for dinner. They will bring the turkey, dressing, gravy and mashed potatoes. I will provide the rest.
