Sunday February 15th through Saturday the 21st, 2026
SUNDAY: I got a LOT of sleep last night. I felt fine until it was time to stand up for worship at the beginning of the service. I just seemed to NOT have sufficient energy to stand, so I sat down for a good portion of it. I agreed to go to lunch at the BIG DITCH with Carol, Glenda and Lori, but I felt a little shaky so I cancelled. I spent the rest of the day at home. Andrea messaged me and asked if I might want to go to BJ's with her, but I told her I better stay home because of the shakiness, even though it had gone away by then.
MONDAY the 16th: Basically, I had a wasted at home because I did not have any energy. I could have met up with Jan at the Y because the PA from United Healthcare came early and was not here long, but I just did not feel like going out. I ran the dishwasher and made my bed and that is about all. I played a lot of TEXT TWIST on my phone. I called Dr. Lenahan's office and made an appointment for tomorrow morning to have the spot on my upper leg looked at, since it has not gone away.
TUESDAY: First thing today, I drove out to Dr. Lenahan's office where I had a biopsy done on the spot on my leg. I had some extra time before Life Group so I stopped at the Y and walked around the track twice and did five minutes on the recumbent bike. Life Group went well, and then a bunch of us went to PANERA for lunch. I must remind myself to NOT order the Hot Italian sandwich again, it is too hard to eat. It fell apart every time I tried to take a bite. It was Cindi, Karen, Marlene, Glenda, Carol and me. When I got home, I called Scott Ode to tell him what I want to do with my CD which has come due. I also called United HealthCare to find out the status of the form that Dr. Basra's office faxed to them. What I found out is that they did receive it and are processing it at this time. I took a nap and spent the rest of the day at home.
WEDNESDAY: I emailed Zoe to let her know that I did not feel comfortable driving to Cayuga in light of the weather prediction: freezing rain. I went to the Y for MOVERS and MAKERS. In spite of the weather forecast, everybody except Susan came today. Dr. Nik was not there, so Denise was in charge of MOVERS. We did an art project with Sarah. Peggy stayed for a class in the gym. Andrea and I also stayed, but separately. My right knee was really bugging me so I was walking much slower than her. I walked a bit and also used the recumbent bike. Then the three of us went to Freedom Church to gather for prayer for salvation of our love ones. After that, I stopped at WalMart to pick up a prescription. I am glad I went inside because I found a couple of bargains. I spent the rest of the day at home. I had a rather heated FB conversation with Christa late in the evening and I pretty much bailed out after losing my composure a bit. I drafted an email that I want to send to her.
THURSDAY: I went to the library and to Niagara Produce to get a few things, I took a bag of empty deposit bottles to the place downtown. The owner was leaving to go pick up his kids, so I handed him the bag and told him to give the money to a charity. He agreed. I called Pam to ask her if she might want to come over tonight to play Scrabble, but she is with her daughter, Amy, who had surgery and has to be off of her feet.
FRIDAY: I had my car inspected at BASIL TOYOTA and it passed. Then I went to WalMart and got groceries. Shortly after I got home, David and Peg came by to look at the front burner on my stove. David figured out how to get it started again. I made chicken and biscuits for my supper, using the rotisserie chicken I got at WalMart.
SATURDAY: I cooked all morning. I prepared meatloaf, baked potatoes, butternut squash, cornbread and custard for dessert. Becky called a little after noon and told me that she was in the parking lot across from LaPorts and had an orange cone stuck under her car. I asked her if there was anybody around to help and she said no.. She did not know what to do, but after a minute she said she was going to call AAA. However, a guy in some sort of official vehicle stopped and helped her. She arrived a few minutes before one p.m. We had a nice lunch together. She talked about the foreign exchange student that came from Lima, Peru. Her name was Olga Roth. I remember her. After we ate, I offered to try to find the movie I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, since she had never seen it, but I could not find it on my ROKU TV. After loading the dishwasher, I took a nap. I had a light supper.
