WEEK of SUNDAY April 30th through Saturday May 6th (Spring into Nature)

SUNDAY:   Church was very good.  New members were honored.  About 17 people were baptized.  My friend Donna, who I met at the Ladies Life Group was baptized.   This is Peggy with one of the women (Stacey R) who was baptized.   After church I waited for Peggy to finish up and then she and I and David went to RED LOBSTER to celebrate his birthday.   I paid for the meal and they left the tip.  When I got home, I barely had time to change into more comfortable (and warmer) clothes and lay down for about fifteen minutes and then it was time to leave for the HANDBELLS concert at First Presbyterian Church.  I met up with Cindi, Pam and Betty.  The concert was great.  I was surprised to see Pastor Tom Hardy in the bell choir.  He put this hat on for the final number THE GREATEST SHOW.  Betty and I stayed for the reception which was very nice, offering a bunch of "orderves" and a few cookies and punch.   Dee Mann was there and I invited her to sit with us.  Elaine was there, also and

SUNDAY:  After church, I was wondering if I should pick something up to take home for lunch.  I went by the huge convenience store (Marathon) on the corner of Robinson Road and Beattie Avenue and saw a sign saying $8.00 subs on Sundays, so I went in and ordered one.  I asked for extra lettuce, but I hardly got any lettuce at all on my sub, so I probably will not go there again for a sub. I rested in the afternoon. rI drove through Outwater Park to see the flowering trees (I think they are called TULIP TREES), but they are not fully in bloom yet.   Pam came over in the evening and we played a couple of games and had brownies and tea.  Other than that, it was a regular Sunday. MONDAY:  I went to my chiropractic appointment this morning and had planned to run a couple of errands, but my stomach was upset, so I decided to go home for a bit until it was time to go to the Y for my WALKING WITH EASE class.  The class went well and then I decided to go to the SKECHER'S STORE to try to find

SUNDAY:  I was watching my church service live at home (since Carrie was here with me at home) when I accidentally knocked one of her Corelle bowls on the floor in my dining area when it broke into a zillion pieces, mostly sharp slivers.  So I missed all but the first few minutes and the last few minutes.  Carrie was picked up to go back to Oxbow at a few minutes after two p.m.  I laid down hoping for a nap since I felt worn out, but I could not fall asleep.  I messaged Jan and we agreed to go out to the lake (Olcott Beach on Lake Ontario).  She came here and I drove and we headed out.  We had a nice long walk, I am guessing we walked about a mile and a half, maybe a bit more.  On the way back, we stopped at REID's.   I had a burger, fries and a small loganberry drink, and she had a creamsicle flavored milkshake.  When I got home, I worked on my puzzle a bit before watching CALL THE MIDWIFE.  Then I showered and found a movie either on Netflix or Hulu something with MUD in the nam

SUNDAY:   I arrived at the church at the appointed time and Peggy showed me what she wanted me to do, which was to hand out cinnamon buns to everybody who wanted them.  That went well. After church, I went home and changed out of church clothing into jeans.  Then I went to Peg's house.  She was just getting home from church.  She had been trying to reach David so he could pick her up, but he had fallen asleep and his phone was on mute.  She quickly got ready, and we headed to the boulevard to CLASSICS V.  We had a nice large table to ourselves.  The buffet turned out to be mostly breakfast food, with a LOT of fresh fruit and a couple of green salads.  There was a carving station with roast beef and ham.  I had small portions of both of the meats, some mashed potatoes, salads and lots of fresh fruit.  There were many deserts to choose from.  I tried a few. When I got home, I laid down for a while.  When I got up, I started my homework for Tuesday mornings Life Group but Connie calle

FRIDAY:  I took two TYLENOL P.M. before going to bed at ten p.m. last night and I think I slept for eight hours straight before waking up at six a.m. this morning!!!!  What a blessing.  While still in bed I wrote a couple of reviews on TripAdvisor and checked FB and email.  I worked on unpacking and putting stuff away before I went out.  First, I needed to return a book to the library, and then I went to THE BUTCHER SHOP and bought three pierogies and a Delmonico steak.  I also went to Molinaro's and bought a slice of pizza and a piece of lemon/coconut cake.  I napped in the afternoon.  Myrna called just before it was time for me to get ready to go to the GOOD FRIDAY service.  We talked for about fifteen minutes.  She said she had made cranberry relish and had a dish of it for me.  I suggested that I could pick it up after church and she agreed. Church was great.  I sat with Jan, but the other ladies who usually sit with us in our row did not show up.
