 I was waiting for Betty to pick me up to go to the craft bazaar at Covenant Church in Gasport when Peggy called.  She asked me to try to not get too close to Betty for several days since Betty has exposed herself to Liz, who is in Lockport Hospital and has tested positive for Covid.  Peggy's concern is that Betty may not be careful to keep her mask on while she is visiting Liz since Betty believes that Covid is a hoax.   I immediately called Betty, and was able to catch her before she left her house and I cancelled out.  She was not at all upset and said that she would do her laundry this morning.  Later on, I went to Gasport on my own.   It was not terribly crowded.   I purchased some gift items and some food items (mostly canned stuff)/ When I got back to Lockport, I went to TOPS to pick up a few items and then deposited a check at CITIZENS Bank.   Then I went home and had lunch, and then I took a nap.

 I attended Peggy's FREEDOM GROUP this morning at Freedom Church.  It went very well.  This time I paid more attention to how Peggy leads the group and I realize now that I put myself through the wringer last Thursday when I led the group on the spur of moment, when Peg realized that she had a medical appointment.  I think leading the next two groups while Peggy is away will be easier!  She follows along in the workbook, which is a lot easier than what I did last week. After that meeting, I met up with Peg at her house so she could give me a front door key and the alarm shut off fob.  I left a bag of food for Myrna with Peggy since she is going to take a mac and cheese casserole over to her later on today and she can deliver my bag of food, too.  A batch of cookies, some homemade refrigerator pickles, a small portion of steamed summer squash, a portion of creamed chipped beef and some sourdough bread to go with it, some grapes and probably one more ite...

 I got up to an absolutely beautiful fall day.   I decided to call Paula and see if she wanted to go out to the refuge for a hike.  She did not answer, so I left her a message.  It took her a couple of hours to get back to me.  In the meantime, I baked a batch of cookies, started my homework for tomorrows FREEDOM GROUP meeting, and cleared out the right side of the garage to make room for my car since winter is just around the corner and Cattaraugus County got snow a day or so ago.   Paula called and said she could not accompany me.  I toyed with the idea of calling someone else but I decided not to.   Once in a while I like to do something all by myself and I decided that today was a good day for that.   I took a shower and washed my hair and then went to the post office to send the book WINTERDANCE to Connie.  I think she will like it.  I decided to drive out to  SCHWAB'S farm market and use my last two co...

 I arrived at LIFE GROUP right around ten a.m.     For the first half hour, there were only three or four of us there, and finally people started trickling in.   It was still going on at twelve thirty (half hour after the supposed end time) when I left.  Before going home, I returned the salt lamp to ALDI's.   I had lunch and then put my first OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD box together.  This one is for a girl.   My second one will be for a boy. Unfortunately, shortly after that I developed diarrhea.  I am not sure what I may have eaten to cause it.  It lasted  a couple of hours and made it impossible to nap, so I got up and finished reading WINTERDANCE and then decided to crash on the couch and find a documentary to watch.  I came across a documentary THE GREAT ALONE, about Lance Mackey who won the Iditerod  four times 2007 through 2010.   It was very good.   I recognized some of what...

 I attended the Ladies LIFE GROUP at Freedom Church.  The group was somewhat smaller than usual this morning and there were times when I got frustrated about the amount of time wasted repeating things, etc. Five of us went to THE FIELDSTONE for lunch after.  I had the baked fish (parmesan crumb) and brought most of it home since it comes with the soup and salad bar.   Before going home, I went to the polling center and voted.  I was the only one voting at that time, so I got in and out quickly.  Nobody was wearing masks. Betty called when I got home, and she needed me to look up the phone number for Dr. Mark Varallo, who is a psychiatrist.  She will be going to him in order to get certain prescriptions filled, which Dr. Nicholas Varallo used to order, but he is retiring at the end of the year.  I found the number for her.  We agreed to go together to COVENANT CHURCH in Gasport on Friday morning for their holiday bazaar.   I pre...

 I slept part of the night on the living room couch.   When I woke up this morning, I immediately knew that something was wrong.    I felt achy all over, especially in my hips and I was sweating..   I realized that I would have to cancel my outing with Paula, we were planning on going to the refuge and taking a hike.  She called me before I could call her.  I also had a headache, and I took two ALEVE and stayed in bed most of the morning.  Around noon, I realized that the achiness was gone.  I finished reading this book. I got an email from the Y regarding their turkey lunch on ll/23.  I called Betty and told her about it and she wants to go, so I called and signed both of us.  I called Dee and told her about it.  She is not sure that she is still a member.   I showered and took a nap and listened to a couple of Daily Wire podcasts and then got ready to go to the Y for craft night.  i met up with Sarah ...

SATURDAY 10/30  Betty and I signed up for a guided walk to the POOR HOUSE CEMETERY across from the Niagara County Jail this morning but the weather is awful, cold, damp and rainy so we decided to not go.   I set up an appointment for a COVID booster tomorrow morning at WalGreens.  I asked Betty if she would pick Maggie up to take her to church tomorrow since my appointment is at 10:45 a.m.  The British series THE SPLIT is great!!!  I finished it.  I talked with Leslie on the phone.  She is doing well.  She has pretty much decided to NOT get the booster shot. SUNDAY 10/31    I went to WalGreens and had my COVID booster shot this morning.  The worker who gave it to me was dressed up as a witch.  I barely felt the injection.  I arrived about ten minutes late for church.  I dropped off the two Operation Children Child boxes that I put together.   I stayed home the rest of the day, mostly relaxing.  I t...
