I called David in the morning and asked him if he can drive my Subaru for a few minutes after breakfast at LaPorts (with Scott and Becky)  since I heard a slight rattling sound on the way home from their house last evening.  He agreed. I arrived at LaPorts on time, and David and Peggy arrived a few minutes early.  We went in and took the large booth right niside the door.  David, Peggy and I went ahead and ordered when we realized that Becky and Scott were going to be late.  I ordered the blueberry pancakes and a small order of home fries.  Scott and Becky were about a half hour late, but it worked out OK.  We had a nice visit. David drove my Subaru a bit and said he does hear a few sounds, but nothing that indicates that something needs to be taken care of right away.   I went to Niagara Produce and purchased a pound and a half of ground sirloin.  When I got home, I prepared two meatloaves, and baked the potatoes for potato salad.  After my nap, I made baked beans.  WEDNESDAY:  I went to my chiropractic appointment and then to TOPS to get a few items for my trip and stopped at Burger King and used a coupon and picked up a cheap lunch.  Spent the rest of the day at home:  watered my flower beds, worked on geocaching info. for the trip, talked to Betty on the phone a couple of times and not much else.  Watched the PBS documentary about the plague in China Town in San Francisco in 1901 in the evening.  I tried to reach Connie by phone, but she did not answer and her voice mail does not seem to be working.   I was on FaceBook in the evening when someone mentioned that Diane Aleksandrowicz passed away.   I was shocked, but then I remembered that a few years ago she had mentioned that she was diagnosed with cancer.  I guess I figured that she had treatment and beat it.  Diane was born on my birthday in 1968 and her mother named her Diane Carolyn.   I feel so bad for her mother (Terry).  Walt (her husband) died from cancer twenty years ago.  She had six

I got up pretty early in order to get dressed, have breakfast and take my plants off of the front porch and set them up in or near the flowerbeds.  I did that and Tony arrived a couple of minutes after eight thirty a.m.   Between the two of us, we came up with a plan for what to put where.  He said I may have purchased too many plants, but in actuality, it seems like I purchased exactly what fit into the two flowerbeds.  We decide not to plant anything  in the middle flower bed because it does not get much sun due to the large bushes on either side.  However, I decided to put a mirror that Peggy wanted me to take to the Good Will there, with the "little girl" in front of it.   It turns out that Tony goes to New Life Church, the church that Mike goes to, and Tony knows him. Then I had lunch and then went shopping for items for the trip and for the flowerbeds.  I watered the west flowerbed and part of the east one before taking a nap. For supper, I made myself a sandwich out o

Saturday.   I went to HOME DEPOT and purchased a bag of mulch and two hundred dollars' worth of plants, both annuals and perennials.  I tried to reach Tony but had to leave a message and he  called back later on in the day and we agreed to eight thirty a.m. on Monday.  I will water the plants tomorrow morning tomorrow morning and set them out by the beds on Monday morning before he comes.   Peggy and David came over and we were able to get the garage door working.  We also checked out my alarm system and David did a few other small jobs.   I worked on gathering information for new geocaches placed in ASP in conjunction with the GEOBASH which was held yesterday. I spoke with Myrna on the phone for a while and watched the movie OUR FATHER  Dr. Kline was a fertility doctor who inseminated many women with his own sperm.  UGH SUNDAY:   After church, Betty, Jan and I went to LaPorts for lunch.  I had the turkey dinner. I read some in the book I am reading, I am almost done.  I called Ch

THURSDAY:  I had to get up very early to meet up with Carrie and Sue Sprague at Oxbow in order to go to Carrie's appointment for her first PROLEA shot.   It went well.  She will need to get it every six months.  After dropping Carrie off at her day hab program and getting my car at Oxbow, I headed home.  I decided to stop in Wrights Corners at the FAMILY DOLLAR to get some deodorant and I also picked up lunch, a small sub at SUBWAY and a slice of pizza at FRED'S PIZZA. (Only two dollars a slice and very good). When I got home, I ate half of the tuna sub and finished the pizza.  Peggy called and we talked for a while.  I worked on getting my supplements and meds and my hygiene items ready for my trip to Allegany which is coming up very soon.  ELEVEN DAYS from now!   Cassy called and we discussed her upcoming trip to Lockport to get the Subaru.   Betty and I took a walk in the evening.  We met at her house and walked north to Outwater Drive and then south down Hawley.  We looked

TUESDAY :  I dropped the Subaru off at HILLMANS this morning and Betty met me there and we went to Freedom Church.  Life Group went very well even though we were rushed to finish by noon, because the church was having a safety alarm check at noon. I was able to find a list of items to take to Li Lo Li for the Ladies weekend, somehow I missed getting one this past Sunday in church. I called Hillmans and was told that the Subaru checked out just fine so Betty took me over there to get it.   Then a bunch of us met up over at Day Road Park.  Cindy and I had food from THE MAYFLOWER (she picked it up for both of us) and the rest purchased their lunch from the Parkside Diner.  We all sat at picnic tables behind (but inside) the diner.  There were seven or eight of us for lunch.  Only three of us stayed to walk:  Daria, Cindi and me.  We had a nice walk.   Before going home, I went to Home Depot and purchased six bags of brown mulch.  I will leave it in the back of the Subaru for now.  I rest

what really happened to Shareen__________ who really shot her? and what happened at her funeral

Israeli military forces finally retaliated after 19 israelies murdered by seven terrorists.  Every now and them IDF forces retaliate and they did, going into Jeneen.  pasestinians opened fire, Abu Aqla was in the Jenin refugee camp early on Wednesday to report on the Israeli raid.  SUNDAY:  Before church, I stopped at Rite Aid and picked up my new prescription of Viberzi.  Church was good this morning.  I don't know who took this picture but it was posted on facebook, the beautiful tree in front of Freedom Church.  Maggie asked me if I would take her to WalMart to pick up her prescription medications.  I agreed.  After she got her meds, she and I met up with Betty and Glenda at Burger King.  Before going home, I went to Niagara Produce and bought bananas and milk.  Maggie had given me a huge piece of her homemade pineapple upside down cake, and I ate half of that.  Tony (Sarah's gardener friend) stopped by and told me what he can do with my three flowerbeds along the front of the house.  His lady friend recommended Coral Bells.  I looked them up online and I think they will work well, too.   I rested in the afternoon and did a few light chores around the house.  I made a four bean salad.  I watched episode three of RIDLEY ROAD.   I went outside a couple

Iroquois Observations: Introduction to Wildlife Photography: Saturday, May 14th, 2022

Yesterday, Betty mentioned a TULIP FESTIVAL in Holland, New York.   I looked up information and called her this morning to see if she wanted to go.  She said that she was planning on taking Myrna shopping.  So, I decided to go to the Intro. to Wildlife Photography walk on the Kanyoo Trail at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge which I had already signed up for several days ago (over the phone). Eight people had signed up, but only me and three others showed up (Sandy, Laura and Jim).  Indeed, one of the group leaders, Orlando, was very late and then he could not find us on the trail, so we didn't even see him until about ten thirty a.m.  (The walk was scheduled to start at ten a.m.) Everyone else had much better and bigger cameras than I had, but even so I learned a few things during this walk.   The HIGHLIGHT of this walk was seeing the baby (Canada) geese. Once at home, I had lunch and took a nap.  In the evening, I watched FREEDOMLAND, and straightened out the back part of my
