 This morning I went through the rest of Mary Anne's jewelry and then decided to separate the pendants out and see if I could sell them.  I called George Boes but he was not interested, and suggested that Kurt might be.  So, I  took them to Kurt and he chose a few (the nicer ones) and offered me twenty five dollars.  I know they are worth a lot more, but I need to sell them, so I agreed.  Then I went to Johnsons and TJ Max to look for some Buffalo Plaid, but I was not successful.  There were a couple of items available at TJ Max but they were slightly different from the Buffalo Plaid that I want, so I did not purchase anything.   Tonight was the first part of the FREEDOM CONFERENCE, which was set up for June, but then cancelled due to the pandemic.  In June, we would have driven to Maryland, but this one was here at Freedom Church.  It was for everyone who has been part of a Freedom Group.  Peggy held one for several ladies in ...

 I did not sleep well last night and felt somewhat sluggish as well as congested this morning.  It may have been the Dr. Pepper that I had to drink yesterday while in Lewiston.  I dropped some items off at the lawyers office, and also to the Bower Insurance agency regarding Mary Anne's estate.  Then I went to THE CUTTING CREW to have my hair cut and colored.  There was only one person working there today!  I liked the woman who did my hair (Laura).    I read some of A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY while there. I went home and was fixing lunch when Peggy arrived to do some work in the garage.  She gave me my first paperwork regarding the trip to Egypt in October/November 2021.  Yay!!!!!  I sure hope this trip works out! I listened to Ben Shapiro and read more and took a nap.  

 Betty and I decided to go to Lewiston in order to hike one of the trails at ArtPark.    I found a map online but could not print it out, so I copied the part on the right hand side that showed what I thought we needed to find what we wanted.   Betty arrived at my house a little early, just as I was getting geocache information, so I hurried up and got ready, and she followed me to Center Street in Lewiston.  We walked around Main Street for a bit.  We went into THE COUNTRY DOCTOR, an antique and gift shop.  I think I have been in it before.  Betty bought a tin turkey tray and I found a ring I really liked for $12 so I bought it.    There are a lot of fall and Halloween decorations on Center Street.   We decided to get lunch at THE SPICEY PICKLE.   We both ordered an item which I think is called MAKE YOUR OWN BOWL.  Actually, my glasses were so fogged up from wearing a face mask that I could not read the me...

 I dropped a signed paper off to Kevin Kopek at NorthWest Bank.  He said that should be the last required signature before I get a check for two combined accounts.  Then I went to the Ladies Life Group at Freedom.  There were about six of us and it was a very good meeting this morning, a good combination of sharing and getting into the Word.   I then went to the Lockport Outdoor Store to look for a BUFFALO PLAID jacket or shirt.  This is Buffalo Plaid  I think it first became popular about a year ago.  My cousin Becky has a few items with Buffalo Plaid including a large purse.    I could not find anything at the Lockport Outdoor Store, so I went to Runnings, they had some flannel shirts in the men's department but they were huge, and very long.  However, I did find a nicely lined red and black plaid flannel shirt for $25.00, which I purchased.  Then I went to WalMart to get some Metamucil, but that shelf was empty.  I...

 Yesterday in church, Betty showed me a brochure for Johnson Creek Farm. When I got up this morning and checked AccuWeather I realized that it was going to be a very nice day.  I did not have any commitments, so I called Betty and asked her if she wanted to do something.  I suggested going to Lewiston to walk a trail at Art Park or going to Johnson Creek Farm and to Lyndonville to the Robin Hill Nature Preserve.  She said Lyndonville sounded good.  We decided to combine Robin Hill Nature Preserve with a stop at Millers Bulk Food Store on 104 as well as going to Johnson Creek Farm.   We met up at 10:30 or so and I followed her to Millers.  We each purchased a sandwich and I got a few other items including a small pumpkin and a spaghetti squash.  Then we headed to Johnson Creek Farm.   Betty was leading and I was pretty sure that she was going way too far east, but she wasn't.  When we got to Johnson Creek Farm, I realized that I...

 I slept in a bit and had to hurry some to be ready on time.  I like to get to church early so I can save Myrna's favorite seat for her.  Today, her granddaughter, Alyssa was coming with her, so I needed to save two seats for  the two of them. After church, Marlene and I were kind of discussing whether or not to go out for lunch when Robyn Brown and her daughter Lisa came up to Marlene and asked her if she wanted to go for lunch, so the four of us went together: to Denny's.   Denny's was very crowded and they are not using all of the tables, so we had a bit of a long wait.  It was nice to catch up with Robyn and Lisa.   Lisa was able to explain to us how she goes to school two days and does her school work remotely the other days.  Robyn and Lisa will be taking care of Jessica Edgecombs twin four year old daughters  while Jessica works an afternoon into evening shift at Walmart because the babysitter quit without giving any notice....

 In the morning, I did a few things around the house including baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies from scratch using the recipe on the back of the Toll House Chocolate Chip bag.  Peg called and told me that Jen Campbells father is visiting and fell and had to have emergency hip surgery.   Later on, I took some cookies over to David to thank him for all the stuff he does here at my house and then Peg and I took a bag of prepared food over to Craig at the church.  I contributed chocolate chip cookies and pasta salad, Peg supplied meat loaf and vegetables.   I had heard on the radio about the food truck event at the fairgrounds and Peg and I decided to go to it.  However, there were no food trucks, just one large booth set up that offered a lot of deep fried items.  The people working it seemed disappointed that we did not buy anything.  They said that the food trucks did not show up.  We decided to go to SUB DELICIOUS on 31 for ...
