SUNDAY, February 28, 2021 Day Trip to Daufuskie Island
We skipped church this morning because it was the only good weather day available to take a ferry to Daufuskie Island. We were able to book seats on a small private ferry service (Vagabond Cruise) from HHI to Daufuskie. We had to get up a bit earlier today in order to be at the ferry site by 8:30. There were about 12 other people on the ferry with us. The trip over took very close to one hour, and was a bit chilly due to being so early and the fog. When the fog lifted it immediately warmed up. When we got to the island we proceeded to the General Store where we picked up our rental golf cart. We had a map of the interesting/historical sites on the island. Since we wanted to see as much as possible, we were kind of pinched for time and had to move right along. This is the OYSTER UNION COMMUNITY HOUSE, recently refurbished.
